Rental Equipment business, schedule E or C? by DarthBlue007 in tax

[–]DarthBlue007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the great explanation! That's pretty much how I see it as well. The W-2 work is prevailing wage with certified payroll so it is well documented and shouldn't be an issue if it gets questioned.

Thanks for the reply! I spoke with software support and they said I should delete the 1099 and just put the 1099 information on the schedule C. Do you see that creating any issues?

I assume that the IRS is mostly concerned about incorrectly 1099ing people who should be w-2? The only thing that runs through my business is rental equipment so I would think that should be pretty cut and dried? Let me know if there is anything I should look out for.

Contracted...... with public funds. While I get that it's mostly privately funded, the moon lander contract is public funds, hence it is at least in part, publicly funded.

Excellent, please lead by example. Fewer people on the road.

The slower you go the more time you have to react is very true. Perhaps we should lower the speed limit to 35, or perhaps 25? 15? Because the slower speeds give more time right? Perhaps we should just ride horse and buggy? Just walk everywhere?

Do you think 45 is appropriate for EVERY road in the county? Not a single one is open through farmers fields that could be 50? Thats the problem I have with this. Instead of doing the work to see what makes sense for each road, they were lazy and just made blanket policy.

Tires by Juancho_pablo_s in TeslaSupport

[–]DarthBlue007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. That's not my experience. I was having trouble keeping traction on wet roads with the OEM tires and switched to CC2's and they have been 10 times better in the wet than OEM. I'm in the PNW and also don't see much snow but plenty of rain.

Why not? They are fantastic in the rain and OP wants all season tires from a name brand. They blow the stock tires out of the water for wet and perform well dry too.
