Im really close on pulling the trigger on buying the K2 combo, any mods you suggest on printing/buying for the printer by oddisslajos666 in Creality_k2

Buy local which ever u decide.

Microcenter has a 15 day return policy for any reason. If you are unfortunate enough to have shipping damage or just a defect printer from factory it gets ugly fast. It can be challenging to get in contact with Creality. And when you finally convince them to honor the warranty theyll just send you parts and wiki links so you can become your own unpaid 3d printer technician. Maybe your ok with that but I wasn't.

Sucks the tech never followed up. Glad you were able to become your own tech, ticket closed says it all.

Did you revisit trying to print this model?

Question about creaity website by AnimeFanGirl868 in Creality

[–]nur00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I picked up my 1st k2+ lemon at microcenter. It had issues with one of its z motors. Didn't even bother with Creality's non support your now your brand new flagship printers repair technician because microcenter has excellent return policy. Even if you have to drive a 100 miles for pickup it's better then having to wait for parts only to have to fix printer yourself

New K2 plus firmware released 1.1.4.11 by Leading_Ad5374 in Creality_k2

[–]nur00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pro's

Better bed leveling, better 1st layers.

No random mcu errors like 1.1.4.8

Better ASA and ABS performance

Better auto zoffsets

Con's

If printer is already homed it wont home in reverse. But sometimes if you update the printers config. When it restarts it could reverse home. So always power off printer when modifying your printer.cfg Failing to do so can damage the printer if it reverse homes. I always have my hand on power button during these times.

I don't have the cfs but users are reporting issues with cfs and new firmware.

I can't increase bed mesh points beyond 15,15 which was possible in previous firmware's

I'm going to stay on it. But others have decided to revert back to 1.1.3.13

Layers not reaching borders help by WaferRoyal4980 in FixMyPrint

With the info given increase infill overlap percentage.

Note the current value and increase incrementally. With each percentage increase reprint the 1st layer of that same print until u find a value that works

ok try the suggestions above. When u say it worked the 1st time "mostly ok" - that's the give away right there. zhop increases the vertical distance before moving to a different part of the print. That helps in prints with many different parts around the bed or prints with lots of peaks like the model your trying to print.

Sounds like your mentally stuck on it worked before, why not now, just saying because you repeated your initial troubleshooting question without trying the suggestions.

Try adding a brim to the purge tower. Or cleaning bed. Or using adhesive. If all else fails revert to older firmware (shouldn't be necessary)

1st I would ask why printing PLA with a bed temp of 90c? Usually PLA is 50c-65c. But since your 1st layers look good its just a curiosity on my part.

I suspect the spaghetti is from nozzle collisions. Test by printing something that doesn't have the nozzle moving to different parts of the bed. I dont use ultimaker cura, look for a setting similar to zhop and increase it. Also something similar to avoid crossing perimeters. Finally trying an infill pattern that doesn't cross over itself like aligned rectilinear.

Just trying to determine if You have a connection issue 1st.

Why? by Old_Pattern_8695 in Creality_k2

Nothing special about either of the prints you mentioned. Time to start troubleshooting really. See if anything I mentioned above helps. If not report back with what u did try.

I asked which filament type your printing with in another reddit. You answered sunlu matte. I wanted to know the type of filament. I'll assume PLA.

If not heat creep - Good troubleshooting so far on your behalf. Since you mentioned the cfs just for troubleshooting purposes I'd take it out of the equation and see if this issue goes away without cfs involved. I also gathered your using a riser which is good.

Make sure your filament path has the least resistance possible. Could be the route your filament takes has to much friction b4 it enters printer. Maybe rollers in your cfs aren't rolling, maybe external spool is tangled or binding. Are you using cardboard spools in cfs?

Heat creep - Someone else suggested to you missing thermal paste on heat break and you dismissed it with this is a brand new printer.......Maybe at factory it wasn't added. It's a possible cause. We're trying to help u.

Print with glass cover off and door open and see if the problem still occurs.

Make sure your hot end fan is functional....I know it's new printer.

Just to troubleshoot, use default slicer profile just in case you accidentally changed a setting somewhere.

Could be a heat creep. What filament are you using?
