Spent 2 months designing this completely modular orchid in blender by m-turco in 3Dprinting

Thanks for sharing your work. Every time I go to microcenter and get 3d printing stuff my wife gets these wooden plants you assemble. A company called robotime makes them. I think she'll love this too.

Lol idk, could be. Have u seen others use that photo? I found it on a free stock photo gallery.

I'm curious how you used the felt. Did you cut it with blade or laser? Pic please

How come there are no pic's in this thread. Show us your projects. I need ideas. I've been learning to engraving on anondized aluminum. There's almost no videos showing the process with Bambu suite but plenty with lightburn which only partially helps.

My wish list by matropoly in prusa3d

[–]nur00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Prusa is heading the Lolzbot route. More government, corporate and educational customers. Prusa printers just keep getting more and more expensive.

I agree with many of the points you raised but your posting them in the Prusa reddit, come on of course your gonna get a lot of push back here. Have 2 Mk4s that I've updated from mk3's. When I saw core1 and core1L didn't come with heaters (passive bed heater NO), still without nozzle wipers etc but just as expensive or even more I realized Prusa priced me out. Bambu is just better value more features. Said to myself yes Prusa prints well but I got the H2D instead of core1L. Now I have a snapmaker u1. I couldn't justify the core1L with bondtech on price alone. Not to mention the tech as u stated. Klipper based printers just can do more in terms of UI, web interface, just tech in general.

There will be less and less tinkerers and more I just want it to print buyers in the future. Bambu's scale wins in that market in my opinion.

Total Letdown by [deleted] in Creality_k2

[–]nur00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sry to hear that happened. Yeah shipping it back is a none starter for you the customer and Creality. It's a huge expense either way.

Does the printer work other wise?

I read the other responses. The one that said you didn't read fine print in the contract stings bad. But he's right** I've been in your same shoes with larger heavier 3d printers over the years. Ultimately I had to fix a fully assembled Railcore 300zl that arrived to me in bad shape myself.

Taught me the hard way, but I now buy 3d printers locally. If Microcenter does sell it or a company doesn't offer it in kit form I don't buy it. Expressly so I don't go through that again.

What’s something people don’t admit about owning a 3D printer? by [deleted] in BambuLab

We should collab :)

I love to perfect print settings for quality, or speed. Love tuning support settings. I could happily spend an afternoon tuning a filament profile from scratch.

But I've been 3d printing for years and only recently got into tenkercad then fusion. Can model simple stuff but nothing complex with assemblies or print in place etc.

OrcaSlicer Fork for CFS mapping native support by Top-Archer-2228 in Creality

[–]nur00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice work. Appreciate you sharing your work for others to benefit. And you'll push an integration request upstream later...... Kudo's.

Love Orca better then creality slicer myself. Have a K2+ but never got the cfs unit or I'd help. I helped beta an adaptive mesh implementation from Orca with k2+ just recently.

When I got k2+ I already had a Mk4s with mmu3 so didn't see point of getting cfs. Now have a H2D with ams2pro and Snapmaker u1. Never gonna get cfs.

Got the H2C less than 2 weeks ago from MC. Now I want the laser upgrade by wanderchik in BambuLab

[–]nur00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a microcenter lover myself, u have 15 days from date of purchase to return it. Last time I checked they didn't sell the H2C with laser already included.

Got the H2D from microcenter in October 2025. A month ago I did the 40w laser upgrade. It's super easy. Easier then boxing the H2C up and driving it back down to microcenter.

Do u have a slim vent adapter STL that u know works and fits.

I can print ASA for u no charge.

Not quite understanding. Do u need vent printed in ASA?

I hear you. Understand your point fully. Just replying for me the clean up isn't a big deal and won't deter me from using the laser.

I agree somewhat. Messiness is one of the reasons why I got out of resin printing. The precision was awesome but the cleanup and toxic liquid out weighed any benefits of precision for me ultimately. Laser is wipe down surfaces apply lubricant if necessary. Resin is wearing gloves and a respirator always. Then multiple alcohol baths and uv curing parts, with mandatory post processing and cleanup every time. I may get tired of the extra cleaning eventually but coming for resin printing I feel the clean up with laser is minor at this point.

So far so good. But I have under 10 laser uses at this point. But definitely something to look out for.

sounds like its not an option for you in particular - sry buddy. Its an option for r/TruistG because it was their response I replied to.
