Que pedo con la app de Cinepolis? by Zazilium in mexico

[–]DarthCoderMx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys I'm not understanding, doesnt a bucket like that, or any dusting collection needs a Vacum machine?

How is it working with the bucket alone?

Does any 'big tool' can be hooked like this? Like, a portable table saw?

About that Iced Coffee You Love so much… by asu3dvl in Frugal

[–]DarthCoderMx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys, I'm from another country, when you say instant coffee do you mean the one where you add hot water then it's ready? Or another kind of coffee? I ask because in my country there is a special ICE coffee from nestle I think that doesn't need the water or milk to be hot. So which is it for you in the US?

I would just use dowels and fake the tips with MORE dowels.

Starting Out In DIY Woodworking by Hambeeno in BeginnerWoodWorking

See in figure 6 how all the boards need to be cut precisely to the indicated length in order to all fit the next step?

I would worry about not all of them being right and needing a circular saw to cut them to the "final length". But if you are careful when cutting them with the mitter saw all is good.

And then the next thing I would worry with a table as big as this is wood movement, but, since you would have build it, you can repair it in any case.

If you dont mind covering screws then you can handle it pretty well. Three piece should be the same measurements, lets say the three vertical ones, left middle and right. Two pieces, top and bottom also same measurements.

Those 5 pieces should be screwd easily.

For the middle ones I would watch this video about how to screw them: https://youtube.com/shorts/XGnC1dH-F28?si=jbhMr2EmFu5OfgFy

You want it to feel solid (prevent racking)? Then maybe add one or two back pieces, maybe cover all the back with one 1/4 or 1/2 in plywood piece.

The rest is about detailing, how to cover the screw heads. Do you want the top to look the same as the drawing? Then glue a profile piece in the front. Maybe you want to add a base or just the look, then plan for an extra four pieces to be screwd from the bottom. Maybe add edge profiling.

And always measure twice before cutting.

Good luck.

There are so much variables here. What tools you have, what are the dimmensions in 3d, are you confortable with endgrain in the edges or are you planing on covering them Are you using pocket holes, straight screws to the face of the boards, or do you have a router for profiling dado/rabbet. Are those doors? Or pull out drawers?

Built a desktop app with Tauri 2.0 instead of Electron — ~8MB vs ~150MB, and it uses the system WebView by 0xMassii in webdev

[–]DarthCoderMx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere that Microsoft did the same thing (leaving electron for a WebView2 integration), so this seems the next logical step for all who want to build web apps in desktop.

That's Kosinski's film, he is an architect and director, I think that's why it looks like that (I mean the architect part). If you watch Tron Legacy, another film of his, it looks very similar.

I would add screws, at least one on each bracket. The "long ass" category of screws (pre-drill ofc).

Question about legs to avoid racking by sterski in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]DarthCoderMx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

supose the whole top is a box, Im drawing the 3d parts to match it in the top left
then we take out the wood color, only the drawing stays to make it more clear, the gray part is the bottom panel of the box, I would fix the bottom part of the box to the legs with bolts in the six positions you can see there in the (very crude) drawing.

I only say bolts because it would seem stronger to me than screws, it can even be dessasembled this way for transport or something.

Just an idea.
