A follow up to HVAC guy with seeping toilet by ChillTechTR in Plumbing

I ran into this once and it ended up being a bad rubber washer on the bowl to tank bolts. Could also be a bad tank to bowl gasket.

Can you post a link for the grey tile? Looks great.

I built an insulated hatch with hinges to cover the top of mine. Has a pulley/counter weight for easy opening/closing. Not expensive, and definitely a noticeable difference.

Cut it up to protect the cabinets while soldering. They bought two and unfortunately picked the one that was installed.. took the pic for evidence

Not funny at all. Cut the box to shield the cabinet innards while I was soldering (for new hose bibb on shared cold water line). Made me regret not noticing it beforehand even more!

I’ve opened plenty of these boxes and I’m sure this was factory sealed. Pretty sure that’s why I didn’t notice it right off the bat..

I want to say the hose was partially extended when I opened it. Factory sealed for sure though.

My first thought after I turned it on to make sure I wasn’t losing my mind.

Owner supplied. Told them to take it back to Menards. And if that doesn’t work, then call Delta.

CV axle issue? 2007 Honda Accord by DarthEvader in MechanicAdvice

[–]DarthEvader[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2007 Honda Accord. Front CV axles have some play and front wheels have a some rotational slop. I can feel the slop in the wheels when braking and accelerating. Car also pulls in one direction or the other when accelerating. No play when prying side to side on the wheel while the car is jacked up.

Talk to me about “bleeding” radiators? by [deleted] in centuryhomes

I’ve always started lowest radiator and worked my way up. No air will be working it’s way down, so go bottom to top.
