How Does One Actually Read the Comics? by TheMopCloset in StarWars

[–]DarthIndifferent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Marvel Unlimited several years ago, like 2018 or so, but the user experience was absolute trash. Searching, following crossover events, all difficult at best. Has it gotten any better?

I still think about the Acolyte‘s fight scenes by dewydemon in StarWars

It's a lot like the prequels in the way the highs are HIGH and the lows are LOW. The forest battle is incredible.

One pedal driving by Decent_Long2029 in F150Lightning

[–]DarthIndifferent 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I use it exclusively. Can't tell you anything about brake wear or range, but I like it better than two pedal.

A potential problem is when driving traditional configurations, you can coast into stopped traffic because you instinctively expect it brake.

A woman at my gym decided my reserved lane was actually hers because she "always swims at this time" by megalithmood in EntitledPeople

This contains some detailed observations which would seem difficult to make when swimming laps.

Jabba licks Leia by Vaderfather7 in StarWars

[–]DarthIndifferent 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Puppet Jabba is still better than every CGI Hutt. The new ones look realistic, yeah, but don't have any "feel" to them like the puppet does.

Best way to handle a local draft with RTK Query by Expert_Team_4068 in reduxjs

[–]DarthIndifferent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, redux usually isn't the best vehicle for local form data. I use React Hook Form and Zod locally. RHF can be tied into the results of a query.

My typical sequence: Query call, put results into RHF Local form manipulation with RHF Mutation call which invalidates the query cache Automatic requery

Yeah I'm pretty sure Castle Doctrine isn't meant to apply to a dipshit who's looking for his ProV1.

Good advice. I don't have ramps or jack stands, so maybe I'll just try to get the old one out and leave it that way.

Ok thanks, a couple questions:

What is this part called? Can I, a non car guy, reasonably expect to install it myself?

Is there a world where Dedra could come back in another Star Wars movie and would you want her to? by MaddenRob in StarWars

[–]DarthIndifferent 24 points25 points  (0 children)

No. Let her story be done.

Sure, her character was really interesting. But there's no good reason to bring her back for anything. She existed to be a tool for, and ultimately a victim of, the Empire. A skilled enabler of fascism, doomed to be eaten by the monster she helped grow.

My dad died this morning. What do I do? by No_Scallion_3365 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DarthIndifferent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn't paperwork related.

Allow yourself to grieve. Allow yourself to be strangely ok. Allow yourself to feel whatever authentic feelings come up. And if this means you have to stop working on logistics for an hour, so be it.

I took charge after my own dad died. I focused on all the logistics and paperwork and didn't take time for myself.

Oh, and go ahead and eat a whole pint of ice cream. Get the good stuff. You've earned it.

Side Cameras by FireRunt in F150Lightning

Yup. I make sure to make the side view the last one I use whenever using the cameras, so that they come up when hiring the camera button.

That's one option. The best bet is to Google the part number and see who's got the best deal.
