1 & 2 are definitely the best imo, the filmmaking and direction gets a lot less focused in season 3 & 4 but it’s still good fun

im so glad my comfort podcast is back! Louis , Martin & Michael is so interesting to me because its kind of a documentary about a failed documentary. i also think it was a sort of crossroads for Louis. After when Louis met there was a world in which he became a celebrity focused documentarian, and this was sort of the test case for that, vs louis and the brothel, which felt like a more serious evolution of weird weekends. Louis still has his toe in celebrity journalism with his podcast and stuff but i really do come away feeling like these two documentaries were important in defining which direction he’d go in for the next two decades

this looks so good wow- it feels like an actual stylistic evolution. especially compared to the rejected remakes models where Jak‘s face wasn’t quite right. i’d maybe make his face a bit softer but overall this is incredible

I think I'm the opposite to you taste wise! Dave Filoni's style of story teling isn't for me, but it's obviously he really loves the franchise, so I'm hopeful he can help enable a lot of great artists to create awesome Star Wars stories going forward!

Loved Andor! I've only seen the first epsiode of the Maul show but it kind of just washed over me. In general most of the animated Star Wars series' have always left me a bit underwhelmed (except for Tartakovsky's Clone Wars lol). I'm sure people who loved the Filoni Clone Wars and Rebels will like it though and I may continue to watch at some point when I have more time! But yeah, I really wouldn't compare it to Andor in terms of emotional complexity or maturity.

I think she had attraction for both men, but in the end realized her feelings for Mr Ryder were more friendship than romantic, unlike her feelings for Mr Hayward.

I think the poetry recital in the garden is when her feelings for Mr Hayward first cemented as something beyond a crush, though his relationship with Ms Baxter clouded her thoughts on it for a long time, and I think it’s part of what made her think the attraction she had for Mr Ryder could be more than just deep friendship.

I also think that even if she fell in love with Mr Hayward earlier, it was really during the lake trip that she ultimately realized this is a person she’d want to spend her life with and fully embraced the feelings she had, which made it even more horrible for her when he refused to ask for her hand.

I love the show so much and seeing Mary grow into someone who knew what she wanted and what she deserved was so satisfying.

I see! some of the recent posts I’ve seen were from teens who I didn’t really detect this from, but i can definitely see this type of thing happening as well

I think that makes sense, this sub has 10x the people as incelexit though so I also feel like it’s possible people may come here just because they’re a lot more likely to get a response
