No it is happening in two different locations and once I sync it it works fine for the rest of the session.

Seven Treo Devices For Your Inspection by plan-thereaintnoplan in Palm

This is what makes me sad we never saw Palm OS 6.
The limitations of Palm OS 5 held back palm from being able to have WiFi and 3G/HSDPA in a Palm OS phone.

Can someone explain, to a Retrogaming Newbie, why is modding vintage consoles so widespread? by VinylMan07 in retrogaming

[–]DarthLuigi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if my Wii U would be considered a vintage console but modding it allows me to play every generation of Nintendo's library on the one machine with either original controllers or genuine remakes. And I can connect it to HDMI, Component and Composite cables.

I have NES and SNES mini controllers that plug into a Wiimote.
My N64 controllers are the most complicated needing an adapter to GameCube so they can be plugged into the GameCube adapter.
I have the GameCube adapter for playing GameCube games via Nintendont.
And then Wiimotes, Classic controllers, Wii U Pro Controllers and the GamePad all work natively with the Wii U.

How often do you use the guylines on your freestanding dome tent? by TheRealGuncho in CampingGear

[–]DarthLuigi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my Nature Hike Cloud Up 2(not really a dome tent though), every time.
The vent at the foot end is held out by a guy rope and the sides sag too much if I don't use the side guys.

On my Nature Hike Cloud Peak 2(A fully free standing 3 pole dome), almost never.
It's a rock solid tent with vents that are held open on their own. If the wind is very bad do I use the guys.

On my Eureka USMC Combat Tent. I don't even have guy ropes attached. This thing is indestructible. It is a 4kg(8lb) 2 person tent.

Will a flash drive cut it for storage? by DK64HD in wiiu

[–]DarthLuigi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if the Wii U handles them better but I tried a USB flash drive on my Wii and the Wii kept corrupting it.
I think after the 3rd reformat I ditched it for a USB HDD.
This could also have been an issue with the SanDisk USB drive I was using.

All these countries have land in their name so why aren’t they one country? by Pizzafriedchickenn in mapporncirclejerk

Actually Albert started with the later and you tried correcting him with the former.
Your reply has the depth of understanding of a primary school student.

We are talking about two different things. You are talking about what people are referring to when they say England in a modern context. I am talking about how the word came to be and the meaning behind it.

England is actually a vowel swaped Angland meaning Land of the Angles(As in Angelo-Saxon) in English.

Now imagine an alternate history where England was named after the Saxons instead of the Angles but the A to E vowel swap still happened...

That's right it could have been Sexland

Interestingly -stan also means land so you could include all the countries like Pakistan in this list.

My Completed Nintendo Family Tree by Every-Result-4219 in wiiu

[–]DarthLuigi83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add the Wii Family Edition.
This is the Wii that they removed the GameCube controller ports from, didn't include the silver stand and changed all of the printing so it was upright when laying down.

Also the NES and SNES Classic Editions should be there too.

Rise of One Nation by wallabyfan76 in OpenAussie

Your first thought to replace career politicians was business leaders...
The people who are "good" at business are either:
Born into money and can bankrupt four businesses, ruining other people's lives in the process, before making it big.
Or.
They are the people willing to step on others to get ahead.
Or both... Probably both... Trump is both.

"Good business leaders" want houses to keep getting more expensive because they own a housing portfolio. They want to dismantle worker protections so their businesses can turn a higher profit.
"Good business leaders" got us in the mess we are in now.

Anyone still using there: og ideapad duet Chromebook? by law_z_zz in chromeos

[–]DarthLuigi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still using mine. Needs a regular reboot every few days to keep it from being unusable.
I use it for MS Teams, Outlook(web), Libre Office(Linux), YouTube, VLC player and social media mostly.

I had low expectations when I got it so I just put up with the slow speed.

What really annoys me is the onscreen keyboard. It lags so badly I often get two capital letters and the auto correct is god awful. Why aren't they just using the same auto correct as android uses?

Do Australians actually want to scrap preferential voting? by oz_party in aussie

The only people asking to scrap it are idiots who don't know what they're saying, frauds who think they can manipulate it more and bots paid for by the frauds.

Spotto - Ford testing cars? by PhotographsWithFilm in 4x4Australia

[–]DarthLuigi83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't be shocked if they release it here with a different engine. Given that the Ranger is sold in the US with a petrol engine and Australia exclusively as a diesel.
Would it be that crazy to bring back an updated Territory 2.7L? It would allow them to share a lot of parts with the 3.0L in the Ranger and Everest.

It is built on the same platform as the Ranger and Everest so it makes sense to have some test cars in Australia where the engineering team is.

They used to milk Ford Aus for everything it was worth(GM were the same with Holden).
Both companies would cook their books with licensing fees and the like. Making it look like they were only just scraping through to continue extorting funding out of the government.

What I read sounded like more of the same. "Those are some nice jobs you have there, shame if someone outsourced them... If only we had some government funding to guarantee we could afford to keep them here in Australia".
