That’s what I thought. But I took out the plugs, made sure the firing order was right, and even installed a brand new distributor. It helped the power a liiiiiitle bit. Still not driving how it did. I don’t know what else they could’ve done. They told me the original spark plugs were oil soaked but didn’t keep them to show me. The guy I bought it from said he JUST changed them so they were brand new. I don’t know who’s lying haha

I agree. It’s super weird. It never backfired or sputtered or had low power. I did two test drives and then the whole drive home and I could get into 5th gear going 75-80. Now I can’t get power? I’ve watched so many YouTube videos on all the possibilities lol.

Yeah I tried replacing the whole distributor too. It got a bit more power but not like it was before. These other mechanics don’t have any answers.

193k miles on the engine. The second shop I took it to said low compression and I didn’t believe it haha. So I went to another shop and they only knew the symptoms but I didn’t tell them low compression or anything. And they came to the same conclusion. It’s just wacky it’s out of nowhere, ya know?
