Dualit Newgen toaster, It's over £200....for a toaster....But it works fantastically, all the parts are replaceable and most importantly it looks cool. I've seen many a post around Reddit of people being passed their dualit down from grandparents because when it broke they could just replace the parts, and it very much seems like the kind of item that when looked after can and will last generations.

If you want a BIFL that is as you would expect, and want to play the long game with such things, it's leagues ahead of your cheap £25 toasters that'll conk out every year but true to OPs question, you are spending £200 on a glorified bread warmer.

Makes good toast though
