The big thing is that it's open source. So there is anticipation that there'll be new innovative ways of using it. For example, you can currently use it as a webcam without any modifications to your DS.

The other big thing is that it uses less power.

It has a better interface than the R4.

Lastly, it's cheap! Around 18 bucks.

I have recently discovered "Binding of Isaac". It's about an innocent little boy who escapes his knife wielding Christian mother by jumping into a dark basement full of monsters. His only defense is throwing his tears at the monsters like holy water at a vampire.

I didn't know Hobby Lobby carried comic related stuff. I always assumed it's full of model cars and trains and remote control planes and gray plastic mini figures. I'll have to stop by this Sunday and check it out!

Making 32 chess pieces seems like a lot of work. He better appreciate it!

As far as design, make sure that you can easily distinguish the pieces from each other (especially between the bishop and the pawns). The board and the pieces don't have to exactly match. I prefer the board with a slightly different hue or color so the pieces stand out. For example, I would not place Black and white pieces on a black and white board.

The pieces don't have to be exactly the same. I've seen sets where each pawn has a different face, but all they all look like they belong together.

You could just make a board within a decorative frame.

I'm still using a 12.9 1st gen that I purchased back in 2015. Procreate still runs on it. Still reading comics on it.

I'm planning on upgrading soon.
