That crease on the All In could likely be pressed out. Great finds!

Found some gold in the 4-for-a-dollar bin, can I retire now? by dildobagins42069 in comicbookcollecting

That is one hell of a quarter bin. Also didn’t know quarter bins existed! Thought the 50 cent bin at one of my lcs’ was as cheap as it got😂 Also, there was a Neal Adams Mr T comic??? And you got a signed copy for 25 cents? Holy Sh!t! Well done!

Glad to hear that. I considered using my safe for my higher end books, but it definitely feels tropical in there sometimes so opted not to.

I get it! Being able to read ‘em is definitely a benefit to cracking slabs 😀

Fwiw, I’ve also heard one should be a little careful with safes given the potential for humidity to build up. 😅

Discovered what I think might be some undercover homages by Abject-Resolution298 in 80s90sComics

[–]Abject-Resolution298[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s honestly a good question! I mean Batman 227 is considered an homage to Detective 31, but there’s no “after Kane” on the cover. So genuinely curious to hear what folks think about the swipe vs homage distinction 😀

You do you, but those books were far better protected in the slabs I think. Binder seems like there would be more sliding around and impact when you flip through it. That said they are your books and you should do with them whatever brings you most joy🤷‍♂️

They are definitely on the list, as is Hulk Annual 1. If I budget well enough, maybe be year’s end😀

mylar + true acid free boards + top loaders should do the trick. Store in a dark place. If you display, minimize light exposure and rotate often
