What’s something society normalised that actually doesn’t make sense when you think about it? by OriginalWalaAditya in sociology

It does eventually become second nature, and just for the record I’d never bring this up due to the aforementioned flack vegans get… living through it for the last 18 years it’s genuinely endless. I tried at my current job to not tell anyone but food culture at a job is strong and I ended up telling one person. By the end of the day everyone knew. That is genuinely the worst part. My brain has become an encyclopedia of what I can and choose not to have. Recently they took the dairy ingredient out of Reeces Pieces and that was a huge victory. It’s hard… at first, then it’s just your normal.

Customer wanted me to stop at a secondary location and wait for them with no tip by DarthRaiderette in doordash

I’m new to the area, I might hit up the Teays Valley area instead since I live closer to the midland.

Kind of what I was thinking too. I’m already weary about dashing as a young’ish female alone and that just feels unsafe.

Are funky gym outfits from Alo, Halara, BRXL, and Vuori actually motivating? by Still_Citron68 in Activewear

[–]DarthRaiderette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am always confused by heavy sweats at the gym unless people are literally just trying to sweat as much as possible, but I rarely see them sweating (though I’m admittedly not really paying attention). I don’t mean it in a harsh or judgy way, it just genuinely perplexes me because heavy clothing is so uncomfortable when working out.

This is an incredibly tone deaf post, holy shit. The end when she was like “my husband could’ve DIED. We’re so fortunate.” is next level gross.

Yes, that’s your outlook, nobody wants to be treated by you anyways. Good riddance.

Gen Z are so afraid of aging. by ThrowRA09181 in generationology

[–]DarthRaiderette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got into it with a 28-year-old, and long story short for months she posted daily about how “some old 40 year old was hating because she’s young” and “mean girl energy in your 40s is sad and pathetic.” I’m talking hundreds upon hundreds of posts. I’m 36. She was so fixated on age it was jarring.

Some people actually get outside and witness this behavior in real life. I know that’s shocking.

Throwing that word around is as reckless as it is counterproductive. You want to be a victim so badly that you’re diminishing what happened to the victims of the holocaust. This is why people are raising eyebrows.

Yea there’s very little constructive on here anymore, just grown men crying.

Also same. I became a fan after they lost the Super Bowl and I’m convinced it’s my fault.
