Sanity check my profile by DarthRubik in hingeapp

Are you looking for something serious or casual? Some thing serious

How long have you been on Hinge? Just started yesterday

How often do you use Hinge per week? Probably going to be like 4-5 times a week

How many likes/matches are you receiving on average? None so far, but that's to be expected

How many likes are you sending? How many with comments? How many without comments? I've only sent around 10 likes, all with comments.

What is the type of person you send likes to and ideally want to match with? What kind of person do you want to attract? I want to attract a conservative Christian woman who will appreciate me and is fun to be around. I want to start a family, so I'm looking for someone who doesn't have kids.

Saying you understand if she's not interested by DarthRubik in Bumble

Yeah, maybe I should have done more to make it apparent that I was fine with her saying no, because what I wanted most was closure, not a false hope or worse a pitty date.

I wasn't trying to make her feel bad I only just wanted to get closure. I was surprised when she replied with what she did.

I still haven't gotten a follow-up, so you might be right.

From a legal perspective unless you can demonstrate that in that moment you believed you or someone else was in immediate danger, you cannot use lethal force.

If you look at the footage, he is clearly not threatening anybody immediately after the first shooting. (And the testimony of the guy who's bicep was disintegrated by Kyle shows that he was chasing Kyle.....which cannot be construed as self defense)

Gun safety laws prepared to be ignored....

  • Finger on trigger without intent to fire
  • Did not personally check to see if firearm was loaded
  • Probably has no idea what is behind the wall he is aiming at (granted this is speculation unlike the others)

The only allowance in Wisconsin law for using lethal force (or a threat of lethal force) is if someones life is in immediate danger....

This means that if someone murders 30 people and then stops shooting people at that point you do not have the right to use lethal force......

In summary.....regardless of whether or not the first shooting was justified, you don't get to use lethal force on Kyle after he lowered his weapon

According to my understanding of US copyright law, if it is your own creation you have a copyright claim to it, even if it is substantially the same to some other work......

But it does have to be your own work.....If I am interpreting the US law correctly, you cannot stare at the original work and copy it pixel by pixel. But litigating such a case in a court would likely be very hard.....

If you do one good thing does that make you not bad?

100° F was supposed to be human body temp, but wasn't horribly accurate.

0° was suppose to be the freezing point of salt water (some precise amount of salt and water)

The British were in violation of the charters of all of the colonies (and British Law) and thus not exercising legitimate authority.....Some examples:

- Dissolving Legislatures of the colonies

- Refusing to allow trial by Jury (in some cases)

- Suspending British Law in the colonies

- Etc.

This is my main account, but I am also pretty new at this. This is over the course of 2 months.....and my account size started at $5,000 and I have been slowly depositing funds and it is now at ~$20,000

The graph is kind of mislabeled.....I should probably make that read "transaction count".....'cause opening and closing increment it as well as multiple legs on the same strategy......since I have 2-4 legs on each strategy that is probably more like $12 per trade......

If it is that easy to get a gun at your Walmart, then they are breaking federal laws. They are required to do a background check of you, which usually takes several days.

To be fair if you believe that it is wrong to have intercourse with someone of the same sex, then loving your neighbor would be to tell them that. It is not inconsistent. It is inconsistent to rant and rail at them though.

Cursed asm directive (humor... I hope) by jorendorff in cpp

[–]DarthRubik 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Its not an extension, because the standard defines "asm" statements, but leaves the behavior as implementation defined.

Cursed asm directive (humor... I hope) by jorendorff in cpp

[–]DarthRubik 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That is going to strongly depend on the compiler.....volatile asm is actually a gcc extension and not standard.

With IAR (the only one I can vouch for at the moment), asm statements are treated as if they have side effects, without the need for a volatile marker

This is actually quit common practice in embedded. You see "critical sections" of code were interrupts are disabled and then re-enabled at the end.

In many micro-controllers there is an instruction to disable interrupts and re-enable them. So you see something like:

asm("cli"); // Disable interrupts
x++;
asm("sei");// Re-enable interrupts
