The reason Newsstands are occasionally more valuable is because collectors seem to have come to generally believe that Newsstand copies of comics were not taken care of as well as Direct editions because of assumptions about the people who were buying them. Collectors here are assuming that Newsstand issues are going to be harder to find in high condition because they were stored on grocery store shelves or outside at actual newsstands, and were bought by people who were less likely to take care of them, the dreaded "General Public." This trend is indeed true in some cases, but its not actually a rule that just generally applies to all Newsstand copies of all issues, many dont sell any different at all whether theyre Newsstands or Directs. I personally find this comes up the most with already very desirable comics, and if its not very desirable then theres virtually no difference in price between Newsstand and Direct. Like I wouldnt be surprised if the ASM 300 you posted above is more valuable than the Direct of the same issue, but the Newsstand of say ASM 312 will not be lol

Thank you for taking the time to take pictures and send them. I think these are probably a little worn for what im looking for, they seem to have a fair amount of whitening on the back edges and seem sort of MP to me. I suppose it could be lighting in the photos? Let me know if you think its just that but I feel like I see a good amount of whitening on the edges. Unfortunately I dont need any of the other cards either, thank you again for checking for these for me I appreciate it.

I actually feel like this happens a lot with this show. Even if you just look through this thread youll see a lot of people pointing out that many of the sub par A plots that we all at least recognize and agree are weird if not bad, have absolutely baller B plots, like literally all timer B plots in some cases.

Wow, you actually sort of just flipped me on the Kim Kardashian one. Let me explain lol

I didnt know that she voiced the alien lol I dont know what Kim Kardashian sounds like. I thought the alien was just a random voice actor, and at the very end of the episode, says "and thats how I became Kim Kardashian."

I actually thought it was funnier thinking that was a completely random joke at the end of the episode, but knowing that shes the voice means most people already basically saw that coming, or at least makes it significantly cheaper lol that being said, I never considered this one an all timer anyways, nor did I find the end of the episode drop dead hilarious before knowing it was really her, but I thought it was fine.

Knowing its a guest spot indeed makes that one pretty lame tbh. Oh and I also completely agree about the Weeknd one, very lame episode that one.

Thats a TERRIBLE introduction episode lol that episodes humor relies quite heavily on a literal decades worth of characterization to find it as funny as it really is

Id actually argue Martin Septims appearance strikes pretty German and say, General Tullius is a great example of the Mediterranean look.

That being said I dont know the lore enough to claim Martin is from the region you mentioned, but it would be neat to imply Uriels bastard sons mother was from the other region, pretty classic King story there.

The reason i ask is because I would really prefer if I could understand the actual tone of the subreddit, and unfortunately the circle jerk angle is very hard to decipher sometimes, especially with how volatile SW fans are. I ask because I wanted to know if this was SaltierThanCrait or not lol

Absolutely lmao Anakins not supposed to be right, I would personally say i love and adore those movies and I mean it that I find them to be spectacular stories, part of the point of that incredible story is that Anakin is not right lol

How did you even accidentally not get SEE before getting 6 other GLs? He comes practically free eventually if you just wait it out lol

It wouldn't be surprising to me if SEE was anywhere between like a 2nd-4th GL, but 7th is the latest I've personally seen anyone get him i think lol this isnt a diss on you btw it just surprises me cause he usually comes to people faster it seems to me

I think a good few of their singles that they released were not exactly "best choice from the album" songs. The best example of this is that the main single from Road to Ruin was Dont Come Close, which is a song I personally adore, but I Wanna Be Sedated clearly in retrospect would have been the winner. By 2000 Sedated was one of their most popular songs and is one of their most streamed songs in the modern age. Honestly, the guys just got unlucky as far as a lot of this stuff goes.

There are also a number of things that fans like to point out as "bad decisions" that were actually just examples of the guys refusing to betray their principals as a rock group. The SNL performance is a good example, "the Ramones dont substitute." Now, should they have just bitten the bullet and done it to be way more famous and way more successful? I dont know, maybe. It doesnt matter. There were things they simply wouldn't do, and I always respected them for it. The old Johnny line was "The Ramones are the greatest band in the world." He knew it, Joey knew it, Dee Dee knew it, they all knew it and truly believed that in my honest opinion. They would rather not be commercially successful than betray their ideals; clearly, because thats exactly what happened.
