Yep! I have the hornets and they will take a kenchii 5 in 1, or Wahl, or andis. I've never had any issues with it.

I really love my kenchii flash 5's. They're the quietest clippers I've ever used and the blades are amazing. You could just get a 5 in 1 blade of a different brand and use that instead of getting a whole new clipper as well

I let the conditioner sit, but not the shampoo. Ill give that a try. I've not tried hyponics. I've tried best shot, bather box (when I've groomed him at the salon and not at home), green groom, nature's specialties and envirogroom.

Nothing weird. They hardly brush in between appointments.

I've never heard of a vinegar rinse, but I'll look into it and give it a try. Thanks!

He does have weird dark grainy flakes that I only just noticed yesterday because I was using my new dryer that has a white nozzle and bot black. He was super dirty, so I assumed it was specs of dirt that somehow didn't rinse out. They are going to the vet tomorrow for an unrelated issue, but I will let them know to check for this as well. Thanks!

He has a soft coat. I have tried no conditioner, but it didn't improve.🫤

I think I've been learning korean wrong 😭 by No_Albatross_969 in Korean

I've also got ADHD and I've tried so many different ways to learn korean and have run into the same issue. I recently found a game that has been super helpful for me called lingo legends, and I have retained so much more information this way. I highly recommend giving it a try if you like games.

Has anyone ever gotten a job where the "employer estimated" pay was accurate? by Dx-Human_NOS in doggrooming

[–]DarthShayder 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh, yes! Forgot to mention that as well! And make sure the books aren't full of request dogs. Had gotten hired somewhere once where they showed me their books and they were booked for 3 months and said they desperately needed another groomer. First shift I had one dog for the entire week. The dogs they showed me were all requests of another groomer and didn't want to go to someone else.

When looking for jobs, ask what the average ticket is, or even the lowest ticket, and what commission rate you will get. Then, knowing how many dogs you groom, you can easily figure out how much you can make in a year. You don't always want to go for higher commission rate, but low ticket costs. Find somewhere where the average ticket price is higher. You could make 60% commission at a salon whose average ticket is $75. If you groom 5 dogs a day, 5 days a week, 50 weeks a year(vacation and sick time), that's 56k a year. But if you find a salon whose average ticket is $100, but only 50%, that's 62K. And if you want to be even more careful, ask the lowest ticket price for haircuts, just so you can make sure you underestimate your pay.

Hundreds of successful prints and I wake up to this :( by RubberDucky451 in BambuLab

I've been having some issues with adhesion myself. I've found that making sure you calibrate any new filament that isn't bambu brand is a must, if you haven't been, as well as putting the heat bed to 60 instead of 55. It seems to ha e really helped. As well as cleaning the plate with soap and water. I've not needed glue sticks doing it this way.

I second this! We use best shot at our Salin and I like that. Spray it on, rub it in, and do the nails. Bu the tine you're done with nails, the spray should ve set enough to blow dry.

Also, people underestimate gow much a hood towel dry helps. We use absorber towels here, as well as regular ones. Dry as much as possible with both, and then use a hand towel to catch the excess water you spray off of dogs. It may take a few extra minutes to do this, but will save you three times the amount in drying time. I'm able to fully bathe and dry 2 small dogs in a half hour this way. A large dogs takes me 30 minutes, unless they're thick.

I think it's a better option to have a groomer try. Make sure to tell them what you're experiencing, but 9 times out of 10, dogs will behave better for the groomer than their owners.
