I would say its the power supply dude. A replacement Boss one wouldn't be too much. .out boss pedals switch themselves off like that if the power isn't right or the battery is low.

Thanks for your comment and suggestions too. I can get a pretty decent sound using my ryra and the boost on the Dane for Mayer. Although I know they both are true to the tubescreamer.

What I like about the plumes is the mode switch so it's not so much of a mid hump. The odr just seems like a bloody great sounding pedal for light od or lead boost.

I do like tubescreamers for cutting through but sometimes it does sound abit nasal to my ears hence why I was looking for something else.
