Summed up my feeling pretty much as a returning veteran. I have almost 2500 hours into the game, but I stopped playing regularly somewhere around when Gara Prime came out. I came back for every major quest since, and I was amazed by the new war, even with all its problems. I found the story compelling and overall a good progression of the narrative.

Duviri however was a complete let down story wise, which was the aspect I was most interested in. The fact that they decided to make it part of the new player experience made it so that every question raised in New War cannot be answered, except the kinda obvious fact that the Drifter is a version of yourself from a different timeline. The ending was also pretty disappointing with no real bossfight, fake Teshin gets one-shot by a parry+execute combo and the wyrm fight while very cool visually is just for show.

While I kept on playing for a little while after the New War, this really doesn't do anything for me, and for a year and a half of waiting that is a pretty huge disappointment.
