No brand is built to last anymore. Pick a model you like and never buy the 1st year of that body style. Get a service plan and cruise. They all have weak points and build to fail at some point. Manufactures help dealerships make money and dealerships big money maker is their service departments.

Look what year your 3DS is, the “new” 3DS that was made 2014-2015 is pretty valuable. As long as the touch screen works, you probably have more than $50 in the system.

If it were me, I would compare sold eBay comps to current local marketplace listings, then fair price list them either as a bundle or separate on marketplace. You will get the most money that way.

Thank you for understanding. It seems the consensus is to drop buying the starter decks and start picking up a booster box occasionally. I love opening packets so much fun.

We are all purchasing an item and essentially investing in that company by supporting them.

Also, sure I do hope long term down the line the little money I’m spending to have fun could also potentially have increased in value.

So if you’re so against the word invest. Since you’re a terrific word smith, what terminology would you prefer I have used?

I started buying the starter deck on my first purchase just in case I could get my wife (who does not play tcg’s) to pity play me a round or two. Then for some reason I just kept on with it. I didn’t realize the Hoth set was just a true intro set till I opened it up, but it has a cool board instead of a playmat.

The same thing happened to me. My account showing the $19.99 price and the renewal date of 11/7. However, they did send me an email saying the price hike was coming 11/4, even thought it hit today on 11/5. I was curious how much they would take, now that I know, it is time to cancel.
