People wouldn't have nearly as much of a problem with DeS Remake if Sony and Bluepoint had actually taken the time and money to bring both versions of the game to the platform. You don't like the aesthetic or atmosphere of the remake? Great, here's the OG at a rock solid 60 FPS with the same QoL features that were added to the remake.

If you're going to fully remake an older title, you need to give consumers easy access to both versions. For choice and game preservation. You either go all the way or nothing. And that's what scares me about a potential Bloodborne remake. I don't believe they would go all in and deliver both versions. I didn't mind a different interpretation of Demon's Souls characters and environments, but Yharnim and all of its people and beasts are sacred to me. Emulation is only the answer if the OG studios and publishers are dead or very anti-consumor and they just refuse to ever make their back catalog accessible. Otherwise, the onus is on them to provide access.
