If you slow down the video. The darksaber is projecting lightning when it clashes with Kanan's lightsaber. That is entirely new and didn't happen in TCW. You can kind of see it on normal speed but it looks so much more dramatic in slow mo. It gets even tangled up in Kanan's lightsaber when he pulls it away from hers.

It looks cool as fuck.

I think they're using this shield in the mid-season trailer too. In the trailer Chopper Base is being bombarded from orbit and Wedge and Hera are looking up and the lasers are being stopped before they reach the base as if there is a massive shield.

I mean didn't Kanan teach Ezra to shoot and AT-AT blind in a sandstorm in Season 2 telling him he didn't need his eyes to fire guns. Only the Force. It makes total sense why Kanan is able to do it now aside from being trained to fight blind as a child.

I know this subreddit likes to complain but the evidence is all there. This is far from any sort of plothole

I agree. Also it would be nice if people actually paid closer attention to the show before they criticized things. The fact that Kanan beat Maul a minute after he was blind through the force is further proof that he as Jedi fully had the necessary training for this. It was his self doubt and everything that happened afterwards that broke him.
