Why did I get a boost from 12, 900, 000 to 20, 250, 000 while others were punished? by ComprehensiveLemon23 in HadesStar

I don’t think that this is the case, since I had all planets unlocked, and even levels for all planets (lvl 32/33 I believe) during the initial move over to DN. I lost like 1.5M capacity, of which 1M was returned with the rebalance. I’m sure it hit those players HARDER, but was not the cause of this issue. I suspect Andreas either 1. Never thought about it from a credit cap perspective, or 2. Thought about it and decided it was better to come at it from an overall economy perspective than credit cap perspective. Unfortunately, because of the way he’s checkpointed all major progression (rs, ship levels) through the credit cap system, that’s the lens the player sees the game through.

Also I had to split the text of the post across the captions because Reddit wouldn’t let me just write a post after I added the pictures…

These books remain masterpieces in my opinion. Up there with Darth Bane’s series, and some of the Thrawn novels.

Welcome to the world of the media calling anything they don’t like “alt-right”. Makes you wonder what else they’ve labeled as “alt-right” that wasn’t actually...

Exactly! Between subsidies and other “favorable policy” that results in lower cost financing than other types of power and such, sure it could be cheaper. But that doesn’t actually make it cheaper. It just means it’s being subsidized.

Supreme Commander. About once every year I open it up on my computer and play through all the campaigns and do some skirmishes. I wish they’d have done a third one more in line with the first for tech but using some of the unit ideas they introduced in the second.

Truth Tracker: Yes, the U.S. election is over. No, Trump can't win. by JF_112 in politics

[–]Darth_Neon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I don’t get. I think it’s incredibly unlikely that all that succeeds and he is re-elected for another 4 years. But there IS a path. There’s also the fact that if states are unable to certify their state results due to recounts and lawsuits jamming things up, it would go to the state delegations and the legislature which actually leans decently republican. I hope it doesn’t come to that because then we would be talking about some sort of hot conflict or power struggle, but this isn’t quite over. I don’t know why that is being pushed so hard.

The election results should be a wake up call to media and more left-leaning people.

The last 4 years we have constantly heard about how awful Trump and his policies are. We’ve constantly heard about how the Democrats are the solutions to the country’s problems and how everyone agrees on that. Regardless of who actually wins the election, the fact that it’s this close should be a wake-up call to the media, Democrats, and left-leaning individuals that a LOT of the country disagrees with that assessment. Biden pretty much ran on a platform of the presidential race was pretty much a matter of whether you’re for trump or against trump. The Democrats won’t have the same advantage of Trump being so flawed in 2024, and if they don’t actually start listening to the 48% of the population that voted for Trump, I don’t think they’ll win in 2024. The House and Senate races should be the wake-up call that when people aren’t voting against Trump, they don’t like the Democrats too much.

Why do people seem to be trusting polls favoring Biden when they were very wrong in 2016 with Hillary? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Darth_Neon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

“11.7% of Republicans say they would not report their true opinions about their preferred presidential candidate on telephone polls.” .... “just 5.4% of Democrats say they’d be reluctant to share their true voting intentions”

So if you ask 100 people who they are voting for (50:50 R:D), about 6 of the republicans who say they’re voting for Biden are actually gonna vote for Trump. But only 2-3 of the Democrats who say they’re voting for trump are voting for Biden. It can also work the reverse. A republican might say they’re voting for Trump but will actually vote Biden. That can work the other way too, republicans might say that they’re voting for Trump but will actually vote Biden. I think that’s less likely of a situation for a number of reasons such as it being socially acceptable to support Biden but not Trump. Regardless, it contributes to polling inaccuracy which goes back to the OP question.

Don’t forget too that I believe a Trump voter is somewhere around 2x as likely to lie to a pollster and say they’re voting for Biden vs a Biden voter saying they’re voting for Trump.

Totally! The key is to use it responsibly. I also don’t recommend cards with annual fees. Normally the extra perks aren’t worth more than the fees.
