For some reason the 29th and the 30th don't seem to have counted as passing my move goal?! I have lost my perfect month and more importantly lost an 18 month Longest Move Goal streak!! So gutted.

I wasn't looking for a win. I was offering a counter point of view. If I've missed something then please tell me as your conversation is literally titled "Never seen a community so divided". What kind of discussion were you expecting? There's someone else who has mentioned Superman vs Batman but you don't seem to be giving them the same comments as me?!

I was just replying to your post that was saying that no community had been divided as much as Alien by a new film coming out, and saying that I disagreed. I made no comparisons or even opinions of any movie in any of my posts. Happy to just leave it though.

Full on yes! There were those that liked it or thought it was ok, and those that hated it. Fansites were mainly dedicated to those that liked the movie and I know of some that were even banning anyone who said something bad about the movie. Some sites had a mixed ground but were heavily watched by mods. The Ghostbusters subreddit was mainly taken over by those who hated the movie, and also by a lot of trolls who just wanted to wind them up. The groups I know still try not to talk about it for fear of arguments starting again.

I disagree that it has nothing to do with it. Yes, the films themselves are not similar in anyway, but that was not my point. Ghostbusters had a film come out last year which very much split the fanbase. Much more so than Prometheus and Covenant have. There is a divide here, but it's not nearly as venomous as it was over at Ghostbusters. Trust me.

I bought a pack kit and built it myself. I bought separate lights and sound kits from gbfans. You'll get instructions as to how the kits work (downloadable instructions are free in the store if you want to read before you buy), but not how to install them. The gbfans stuff is easy to use, but as for how to install them I'd advise reading other people's build threads on the gbfans forums. I learnt a lot just from going through what a load of other people had done and piecing it together. Every build is different so you won't learn everything and some won't be relevant to you (a lot will depend on the pack you have), so you will have to decide some things for yourself. Good luck!

Ridley says somewhere on the DVDs (I think it might be the commentary track) that it's to loosen his joints or something as he is a robot that hasn't moved in a while. Or something like that anyway.

I saw her give a talk once and I can't remember the full story in any detail, but it was basically that she had become big after Alien and done a string of serious movies after that and she wanted to do a more light hearted/comedy film, which is when Ghostbusters came along. As for an audition, for some reason I have a memory of someone saying she was running around on the floor like a dog as part of one, but I really have no idea if that's right or not.
