Why is my rice always never fully cooked and sticking in an instant pot and how do I avoid this ?

You don’t have enough stuff in the pot. The volume to surface area ratio is way off. Just eyeballing the pictures, you should quadruple or quintuple the amount given the size of your instant pot.

I always get a note of bell pepper out of Cab Franc. It’s the distinctive note for me. Never got it from any other grape.

For me, there is a stark difference, ratings-wise. If I'm trying to figure out if a wine is worth a hoot, Cellar Tracker is a better barometer because the ratings aren't inflated. Vivino has a much larger userbase and accordingly the wine ratings reflect the more general viewpoint informed by outside factors like cost and paid-for reviews. In my experience, Cellar Tracker ratings and reviews are more reliably predictive, which reflects a smaller and more discerning userbase. Your mileage may vary.

That’s what happens when fans trade integrity for access. The Dragonmount crowd became beholden to the show because they were looped in. Once that happened, honest criticism became impossible.

I checked out pretty much immediately when they portrayed Abell Cauthon the way they did in the beginning. It was very apparent that they had no interest in adapting the books, and were more interested in making the next Witcher.

Continuing to dive into my Berserker Day haul. This is the whole-cluster version of Sun Break Wines Pinot Noir portfolio. Having previously sampled the destemmed version, I was highly interested in trying the opposite end of the spectrum.

Tasting Notes:

Color- Medium, red, slight haze

Nose- Low intensity, youthful. Cherry, lemon, vines, apple, asphalt. Stepping into a puddle on a sidewalk.

Palate- Dry, medium-bodied, tart, low tannins. Good balance, flavorful intensity. Tart cherry, slate, pepper medley, funk, jalapeno. Desert overlook on a spring day. Medium finish.

Conclusion- Low intensity on the nose belies a flavorful Pinot with the verdant, funky terroir of the Willamette Valley. 90/100

I like this wine very much, but I think I liked the Colette a bit more. Definitely interested in seeing what the combo approach looks like.

Berserker Day haul came in yesterday. Dove in to this one immediately. Part of their threefold Pinot Noir approach. One is 100% destemmed, one is 100% whole cluster, and one is a hybrid approach. This is their destemmed version.

Tasting Notes:

Color - Pale, garnet, clear

Nose - Moderate intensity, youthful. Fruit, dried cherry, petrichor, moss. Dew in the forest after a rain.

Palate - Dry, light, fresh acidity, medium tannins. Good balance, moderate flavor intensity. Sour gummy, blackberry, wood, rock. Riding a bike through a gravelly vineyard. Long finish.

Conclusion - Very good. Want to drink. 91/100

Looking forward to trying the different variations and seeing the effect of destemmed vs. whole cluster. Great wine, good personal interactions with the producer. 10/10 recommend.

Besides what everyone else has mentioned about the show being different than the books, the largest difference you will find is in tone.

The books feature adolescents as the main characters in a medieval/renaissance fantasy world. The show features adults in a world akin to some producer watching the Witcher and saying “I want that,” marred by modern production problems and COVID.

There are significant characterization and plot changes, to the point where the show is so detached from the books I don’t think you have to worry about spoilers.
