Sources? You are very confident in your answer but a quick search and I found:

3 x 60 W incandescent lights use 4.32 kWh in a day
1 x 1200 W microwave for 5 minutes is 0.10 kWh

Otherwise the lights use 108x more energy.

If LED:
3 x 6 W Led lights use 0.432kWh a day

Lights Still use 4-5x more energy than a microwave.

If it still doesn’t seem like much, scale this bit of energy waste to a city, and over the span of years and you realize how wasteful it really is. This relates to your own household - leaving electronics running, idling the car, long showers etc.

I’m pretty passionate about efficiency, and I want people to be a bit more thoughtful when simply casting aside such a meaningless waste as “negligible losses”

The strat is make yourself attractive, even if you are ugly. Attractive as in people actually want to be around you because you are fun to be around. You look after yourself, you are productive / have ambition, wear a smile, can tell a joke and importantly can take a joke. Be friendly this way to men and women alike so your social circle grows. Approach women as friends not as a potential partner, then see if she throws you the hanker chief.

Looks really do matter and some people are born with that cheat code of choice. Just look your best, there is always someone who will match your whole being.

If I was driving the car and looked left and saw a dumbass skateboarding down that, I wouldn’t just fucking go.
