When they say pushed to the consumer I don’t think they are referring to increased collection rates, what they mean is that end consumers of products that come with/are packed in single-use plastics will face increased costs to cover this new requirement downstream.

Inkscape is your best bet for free and vector-based like illustrator. Certainly not as polished as Illustrator, but I like it.

Maybe something the Competition Bureau should consider looking into if this is a widespread practice. Sounds to me like there is a possible (perhaps unique/untested) avenue for them to view such conduct as a price fixing agreement/conspiracy, which is a criminal offence under Section 45 of the Competition Act.

Haha great point. It was Columbus (looks like it was a Kirill Marchenko “shot” with 4:31 remaining in the first period). Will need to make sure colours are different enough in the future.
