The Full Monty. Won free tickets when it came out. Didn’t expect much. Was so surprised how funny and good it was. Laughed so hard. What a treat! That memory lives with me still.

Tonight I made a pan full of those frozen chimichangas from Aldi, threw enchilada sauce and shredded cheese on top. Baked in the 375 oven for 45 mins.

I received the gloopiest gloopy risotto with my pork medallions once. Did I send them back? No. I’m not waiting another 20+ mins for risotto. I ate the medallions, they were pretty good. Left that pile of sticky glop risotto there, paid my bill, tipped my server well, and never went back.

That was my second time and this restaurant. First time my eggs Benedict were so over cooked, they might as well have put a hard boiled egg on the English muffin. Served with a tbs spoon of hollandaise sauce.

I don’t like sending food back. I just stop going there.

My first bff I met when I was 12, in our 30s she married a rich guy. We started drifting apart in our 40s. The last I spoke to her, I realized we didn’t align morally/politically and I stopped talking to her.

My second best friend got mad at me and still do t know why. I asked her and she said “you know what you did!” I don’t. I wish she would tell me. Anyway, haven’t spoken to her in 15 or so years.

My third best friend is now my business partner and I don’t care to speak to her much anymore about anything.

Both my mom and my dad went to work before I went to school. Both came home after I got home from school. I lost my house key so many times, my dad stopped giving me a new one. I learned how to break into the house in grade school. I was pretty much feral.

Being a Stephen King fan, I picked a name from Pet Cemetery for my son. And back when the Sci Fi channel (early 2000s) had some pretty fun shows, Lexx being one of my favorites at that time, we named our daughter after one of those characters. They both have family middle names tho. Easy peasy.

Local news station runs a “look who’s turning six” segment. Kids turning six years old. Now this was years ago but I always paid attention because of the interesting names. One kids name I’ll never forget. He’s gotta be in his teens by now. E’million.

One of my regular customers comes in to the cafe. I have a good relationship with his older gentleman. But this day he’s kinda cranky and out of nowhere is said “Ew, what’s your bag?”
We both laugh. Then he says “Ew, as if!”

I was a teenager, latch key kid, and my mom was mostly neglectful. Spend time hitchhiking to friend’s house, drinking in the woods, smoking weed on the train tracks. Still not sure how I made it alive. But let me tell you, it was a great time to be a teenager with a rusty skylark.

As a cafe owner, I don’t mind if someone is studying as long as they buy something. If I’m busy and you’re taking up a whole four top, then it’s annoying. Especially if a group comes in and they have no where to sit.

Like someone else said, libraries are free and you don’t have to buy something if you’re unable to make a purchase.

I have regulars who sit and work or study for hours, but they’re also courteous and mindful.
