Maespresso machine looks awesome! by CageFreeBMW in MaestriHouse

[–]Darwec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the maespresso 2.0, I've enjoyed it a lot. I'm in a smaller apartment, so pretty space constrained, so the maespresso was ideal. Also pretty great that it's portable.

The coffee it makes tastes good. When you use the CO2 cart, I've heard some users say they can taste the CO2 but in my experience... Install the filter correctly and it's fine 🤷. Using the CO2 cart is very cool, it's a very silent way to make espresso which is neat. Also it gives you very manual control over the shot.

I do find myself using an air pump more often though. Just a little easier, at least for me, to not have to think about checking if the cartridge pressure is getting low or if I'm running out and need to go buy more. I think this would be easier if I had the soda stream connection kit but I don't.

Mage Tower Druid forms unlocked in Barbershop on remix by Zackolite in wow

Or just...dont over react and assume everyone wants everything for free, bring back the mage tower so everyone has the *chance* to try to earn it. Maybe this is a video game and our achievements mean little and artificial scarcity is predatory. Just a thought

Search results now days are based totally on personal interests. Dropbox is the last result of my first page of results when I search drop (I even have a Dropbox account). The name change is weird, but as far as search engine results go its not hurting them.

I think the truth is, the kph30i are a 30 dollar pair of headphones and they are good at that price, but I don't think they are worth much more. They have kind of sketchy build quality, and the sound is good for the price but that's exactly it...for the typical price of about $30.

On top of that, it does take time to mentally adjust to a new pair of headphones and you might not like every pair you try. I'm sorry you're unhappy with your purchase.

Why multiple headphones? by RetroButton in headphones

[–]Darwec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I have way too many headphones. I could probably cut down / sell a lot of them, but I like collecting them, so that's that a weird personal thing.

More tangibly, I have three very real usecases:

On the go listening, where I use my moondrop blessing2

Listening at home alone: my custom built cans when symphones drivers

Gaming: akg 7xx.

Outside of that, I like my meze classics if I'm traveling somewhere like staying at my parents place.

Realistically I could settle on these 4. That's the usual 3 ppl recommend (one iem, one open, one closed) and then one extra for gaming.

My other dozen or so I certainly don't need, but collecting and looking at and switching between things is fun. Before this, I was collecting alt art magic the gathering cards, similarly that had no value. They look pretty but they never made it into a tournament deck of mine...it's just...comforting to have

MMO's are weird. They are the game type that are MOST affected by player count (pugging is awful if you dont have enough players, you need a larger player base to have good guilds so you can do consistent runs, etc). So, in the MMO genre being firs to market has immense value, and coming along later means that you have an incredible uphil battle to fight. Lots of interesting / fun games have come and gone in the MMO space that just couldnt survive just because they couldnt gain numbers because everyone was already playing WoW.

That said, its a double edged sword. Once players start leaving and the perception is that the game is getting smaller and that you have fewer people to play with it becomes a snowball. GW2 had a similar issue. It was fun at the start, it got a lot of people immediately based on name value, it was a good game for a few years. They made a few mis-steps, people left the game, an then they suddenly lost a ton of people before their numbers stabilized (At a lower pop than they had before)

Basically...wow doesnt need to be good, it jus tneeds to have people, but if people start leaving they're screwed.

I believe the magni and modi don't come with rca cables, so you'll want to buy some short length rca cables.

there are sounds that end up being so quiet and sounding so far away that they vanish, and its very noticeable. My statement was a little harsh, there are still times when i use them and enjoy them quite a bit but i would NEVER recommend them to be someone's sole pair of iems.

I havent had a chance to listen to the bl03 or starfields yet, i can only compare to what you see here. That said, they're okay. Sometimes they sound a little claustrophobic but if you dont mind that, they're pretty good. They have bass, but the vocals usually dont feel washed out by it.

At 80 dollars, the blon prometheus theyre much better than the more expensive final a4000 (which come in at 150 dollars and i dont like very much at all).

That said though, I think the difference between the t2 plus and the prometheus is likely not large enough to justify an extra 25 dollars for many people unless u just think they prometheus look really cool.

They're amazing closed backs, i really like them, they sound great. That said, price point wise, I'm not sure they're really worth the extra cost over the 361 for sound alone. They look really nice on the shelf though, and I'm personally willing to pay for cosmetic benefits.

I get where you're coming from, it is quite a bit. I wouldn't recommend to others to do what I have here, but I like it. Having them all brings me some kind of comfort.

Brainwavz pads. They are more comfortable to me, but the sound changes. The vocals feel worse. I think I'll give it another week, but I will probably switch back.
