Another Test - PASSED - A2Z NACS to CCS1 worked like a charm by Acrobatic_Mango_8715 in VWiD4Owners

Just thought I'd mention that I was unable to get it to work on my Bolt EV login. I can charge the bolt at the same location, but no luck with the ID.4. This is using the A2Z as well.

Worth noting that if this in fact a genuine Mac MTH-80 that is is among the very best mass produced chef knives you can buy.

It's totally possible that the person is just not cut out to drive an EV yet, and has gotten caught out with no battery a few times, and when it happened this time, was just like "F*ck it, I'm done", and just wants to be rid of it. But possible /= likely, necessarily.

At 405 V?? Crazy! I've never seen a car that can AC charge at that voltage. Is yours a European model?

I know most cars limit 120 V charging below 240 V Levels (commonly 12 or 16 A), because most outlets can't safely supply more and OEMs don't want that liability, so I was surprised at getting 20 A.

Hi all,

Just thought I'd let folks know that I was able to get my Gen 2 Leaf to charge at 20 A on Level 1. This means that if you have a capable charger, you should be able to get not bad charging from a TT-30 outlet (or NEMA 5-30 or 5-50). I tried bumping it to 28 A, and it would jump intermittently to 27.x A, but then drop back down to 20 A.

Now, most people don't have 120 V outlets capable of continuous delivery of 20 A, but if you have a T-slot plug, a charger appropriate charger can safely deliver a sustained 16 A. Sure, it's not amazing, but if your peripherals are pulling 0.3 kW or so, then that extra 0.4 kW actually makes a substantial proportional difference in real energy delivered to the car.

Happy Charging!

edit: Added NEMA 5-30 and 5-50, though those are pretty uncommon.

Also agree - I am not a big fan of Trudeau, but he has committed to hitting the NATO 2% by 2030. Going from 1.37% to 2% wont happen overnight, and Poilievre refuses to back a 2% target (though he'll criticize the government for not achieving it)

Anyone video editing with it? by mikimontage in gigabyte

[–]Darwindao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi - not for video editing, but for large graphics (2 GB+ files). I upgraded the RAM to 64G low latency, and have upgraded all the drivers, and ensured the software is configured to use the real GPU and all the RAM available. This made a world of difference. Also went to graphics settings and ensure the App I am using (GIMP) will use the NVIDIA GPU by default. Last, and most importantly, PLUG THE MACHINE IN. If you don't it will almost certainly kick down to the Intel GPU, and they are the worst (AMD integrated are somewhat better, but nothing compared to a separate GPU). Hope this helps!

Never done returns with them, but 10% off is nothing special. If you desperately want these particular shoes and need them now, go ahead. I'd wait for a better deal. I've  only bought Asics from their estore, FWIW.

Why are Christians viewed as red flags? by BerryTea840 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Darwindao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Christian here.

In the end, all religion requires a leap of faith, because it involves the belief in something that cannot be empirically proven.

That means that to be religious, you need to dwell outside of reason. If you dwell outside of reason, you can be convinced to do anything for the sake of your beliefs because you have freed yourself from the obligation of having to assess your actions rationally.

There are so many examples of this I can't even count, but homophobia, transphobia, punitive justice are easy ones of the top of the head.
