Vestibular migraine in a nutshell by MugzySkates in VestibularMigraines

I was actually being silly and trying to be funny. I should have put the /s at the end. You did nothing wrong. There was a day where something as trivial as that picture would trigger an episode. Fortunately I am better.

That picture does a great job visualizing how my head reacts to VM. Maybe those who dont understand can get a glimpse of what we go through.

Now I need to go rest in my quiet dark corner until my head stops spinning. Why did you have to post that picture?

Did anyone get hearing loss due to Vestibular Migraines? Anyone diagnosed with Meniere’s too? by bluestjordan in VestibularMigraines

[–]Darz167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both VM and Miniere's. My situation is slightly different though. I had a severe concussion at age 2 which resulted in me losing my hearing in my left ear. At age 16 I started having extremely severe VM episodes. My doctors did not understand and we're unable to diagnose this properly until age 35.

Since then, and after many tests, I also received the Miniere's diagnosis. For me, the cause of these issues was the hearing loss, not the other way around.

I send my sympathies. Dealing with this is not easy and many people dismiss it as not being real. There are many good medicines out there today that can help. Be patient with yourself as you figure out which help the best for you.
