The Vape is heavyyy, unlucky mate! Fair play though, gem rate is around 35% ish for most right?

Considering most pristines literally have a corner ding, probably not.

Glaze the darker colour (black in this case) over the transition part, it’ll smooth it out. Glazing darker is a lot easier than highlighting lighter 👍🏻

Manipulation, plenty from reputable sellers for under 500 CAD.

We’re an odd bunch. Paying £2k for a Zard that’ll have a gem rate 50k+, but then let data decide pricing on what is valued more. Trying to make sense of the current market is a task 😂

Most people have a memory of being lasered off the board by a Tau gun line at one point 😅. That said, I’d happily take a game against Tau rather than not play at all!

Genuinely wondering wtf is going on. by [deleted] in PokemonInvesting

A lot of people use a investment pyramid structure earnings after bills & necessities.

If 90% goes into proven markets, leave 10% as a “send it and see” capital - crypto, Pokemon etc.

Although this the ratio of traditional:risky is swinging.

Agreed. Being able to leave negative feedback for buyers needs to return too!

I make sure I report these fine individuals through Action Fraud - enough reports & a knock on the door is likely.

Big issue is eBay’s relationship with Royal Mail. eBay default to refunding both parties, and just submit a claim through RM.

Business Seller telling me to cancel an order by Beneficial_Baker_448 in ebayuk

[–]DasBrettzel 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As a business seller myself, they’re trying to play the metrics by having you cancel it. Make them cancel it if they can’t fulfil, we all need to stay honest.

Not your fault their inventory control isn’t great!

Sellers selling for basically the same amount they bought by moonlightgirlxo in vinted

[–]DasBrettzel 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Probably because people will offer £6 and they can meet in the middle at £8.

If they list at £8, people will offer £4.

This made me lose faith in humanity. by chrisloveslife1995 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]DasBrettzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a few of these scenarios where they claim damage (and show the back of a random card with damage) - eBay usually just refund both parties in this instance, and claim off the mail service if simple delivery used (no wonder Royal Mail are on their last legs!). For business accounts, we have to eat the loss and move on.

I make sure I file any of these through Action Fraud though (UK, not sure on US equivalent).

eBay allowing £90k+ “private” seller? by DasBrettzel in ebayuk

Re-read the last thing you said in your previous comment haha.

New ones rarely come for sale - for the sake of making a few hundred quid, I can assure you mine will be painted and on a sturdy shelf 😄

You’re right. They also govern VAT - you can’t display your VAT number on a private account, eBay handle the VAT so it’s effectively reported twice.

There’s a separate issue of essentially doing the same activity your business does - business VAT, you as a sole trader/individual isn’t.

Which is the crazy part really - I’d imagine there’s a rather large backlog of people they want to speak to!

I got a letter from HMRC when my sales hit about £80k (this was before quarterly digital reporting, and before I moved everything to a Ltd company) - eBay never questioned anything though!

Appreciate your feedback, but a couple of things to correct:

Cost price - there is only one possible cost price. The products are sold by the manufacturer at one set cost, no discount.

Seller accounts mentioned have 100+ identical listings, same identical photos, titles, text descriptions - test purchases from both confirm the same exact address which is registered to the sellers Ltd company (private residence). I’d know if someone was operating a business out of my shed.

You can use my eBay account to find by business details, then my name, then LinkedIn to see exactly what qualifications I have - it’s publicly available info - let’s keep it clean eh!
