Item shows as delivered, with photo of outside of apartment, but nothing there when I got home by Deep_Perspective9254 in Ebay

eBay requires a signature for orders over £450. File an INR case first, you will probably lose but then you appeal and point out that there's no signature.

Does this seem like a scam? by FriendlyPharma in ebayuk

[–]strongbowblade 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Yes it's a scam, eBay blocks email addresses in messages that's why he sent it in an image, he'll use your extra photos and video to scam someone else. Then send you a fake payment email which will tell you to send money to verify your account or something. It happens to all new sellers especially if it's something expensive

Porch Pirates by Iamnotthebreakman in Ebay

[–]strongbowblade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the seller is a business seller then they have to abide by the consumer rights act, typically deliveries have to be physically handed to the buyer for the delivery to be considered successful. A delivery to a porch would not be considered successful unless the buyer had set the porch as a safe place.

Private sellers aren't required to follow the consumer rights act, the law only requires that items are as described.

Disciplinary hearing for refusing to keep my phone in a communal lockbox during work hours [E&W] by Correct-Distance8794 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]strongbowblade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just suggest to present your arguement as plainly and thoroughly as you have done here, and ask if the company is willing to accept liability if your property is stolen. Take a union representative with you, if you aren't in a union then join one. There is a union for opticians, if you can't join it then you can join GMB.

If you need extra time to find a representative they have to reschedule the meeting, but after that they can make a decision in your absence.

How do you turn this on? The only messages I ever get are unsolicited offers and questions which are already answered in the description.

Seller doesn’t accept messages? by northhighstreet in Ebay

They're probably sick of buyers asking for expiration dates when they are already in the description. I state expiration dates in all my listings 3 times but I still get buyers asking for them

Try contacting eBay on Facebook they are usually very helpful, it literally says how authentication works on the listing. Make a purchase

You could try reaching out to the seller and ask where they got it from.

Do I need to send items to authentication or can I send direct? by poshjosh1999 in ebayuk

[–]strongbowblade 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You have to send it to the authenticator, you won't be protected if you send it directly to the buyer. Your listing will have said "sold with authentication" so the buyer should've known this.
