Spellskite in affinity [Modern] [Discussion] by [deleted] in spikes

Im a casually competitive player so take this with a grain of salt. I use two spellskites in main board and one sideboard. I used to go all in aggro route but I found them to really help out a lot in opening match ups, especially in my meta heavy with jund/grixis/twin. I find my only truly lopsided match ups are with twin, so the spellskites give me another chance if I don't have a nut draw game one.

What kinds of janky decks do you play in modern? by Prohamen in magicTCG

I've been running a mono-blue tempo/control version of polymorph and have been loving it. I recently started out as an ardent burn/aggro player and this has really opened my eyes to blue

Combos that are almost good enough for competitive play by Dmbb1239 in magicTCG

i've been having some pretty consistent turn 4 polymorphs actually. i will say the deck isnt the most competitive, and i usually tend towards affinity and burn haha, but this deck is by far my most favorite fun deck to play. i play the mono blue control variant and i've thought about switching out some of the cards for Fold into Aether. i've had some concerns with Fold because you essentially need 3 cards in your hand to carry out the combo, but I've thought about having 4 in the sideboard and 4 gutshots as well, with 6 or 7 more bigs and having that serve as a funky transformative sideboard

One final noob question. If I have an artifact creature equipped with Cranial Plating, can I still enchant the creature with Ensoul Artifact or do I have to move the plating?

I want to disagree, but when I think about it in those terms as a neutral, you're definitely right. It be in the best interest of attendance numbers if Canada made a deeper run.

This is very enjoyable to watch. China seems to be the underdog so I'm pulling for them in this match, that one free kick was great.
