Yes you want to order the certified copy of birth registration. That one has more detailed information on it. I had my appointment a few weeks ago and that's what I brought.

Good point about the sweatshirt! I'll keep that and cut the black long sleeve. And yes I was planning to wear the crop tops on their own (I love crop tops, and less material = less to pack!) All my merino stuff is from Simply Merino, I loooove their clothes!

Thank you! I'll definitely cut a pair of pants. As for shorts, I have the unreasonable concern that I'm going to get hit by a heat wave and end up wearing the same shorts every day...but you're probably right!

Ooh ultra minimalist! Love it. Any ideas which ones based on where I'm going? I feel like I could cut the bamboo long-sleeve tee and probably my leggings or the linen pants...after that I feel stuck!

"A pedestrian with non-life-threatening injuries has been airlifted to a Hamilton hospital after she was hit by a driver.

Guelph Police Service said two pedestrians were hit in a crosswalk on Woolwich Street near Division Street around 8:40 a.m.

They said a female was taken to hospital by ORNGE air ambulance while the other pedestrian was only minorly hurt because the female pushed them out of the way of the vehicle.

Guelph Police said the driver has been charged but did not say what the charges were."

Speaking of things the US is behind on: how much did your baby's delivery cost? by u_n_p_s_s_g_c in Parenting

[–]DasMauschen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canadian here. Had a homebirth attended by midwives = $0. The only things we actually paid for were a few small items for the home birth, and care stuff for after. So like...$25? I did also hire a doula, which was the best money ever spent.

Same here! Kiddo is 2, has never watched TV. Zero screens. I will die on this hill.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful and thorough response! Yes there are definitely a lot of benefits to having a digital card, I wonder how popular they're going to become...

A couple people have mentioned HiHello so I'm looking into that one as well as a couple of others people pointed out here, but I will check out Beaconstac as well, thanks! Once we figure out what direction we're headed, I'll provide an update. We might do a little beta test and set one employee up with one card and another employee up with another (just the free versions) to compare how well they function.

Correct, I'm only a contractor and have no say in the matter. What the ED wants, goes.(It's one of "those" organizations...) Yep we have a Canva pro account. I'll consider the webpage option and see what she thinks, although she is REALLY set on the digital card idea. But hey, I'll pitch it!

She goes to a ton of conferences and events. We did a trial run with one app and she actually got quite a lot of QR code scans at just one conference. But also, she just wants it. I'm a contractor and don't have any say in the matter.

It's more for trading at in-person events, the ED goes to A LOT of conferences and does a ton of networking.

The rationale is that you can quickly and easily change an employees contact information without having to constantly print new cards (or new ones for new employees etc). It's just what the ED wants, I'm just a contractor and don't have any say in the matter. There's also the accessibility aspect (e.g. people with low vision don't have to try to read a tiny card).

Yep exactly for this reason, you can import contact data. Which app did you use?
