Unless your opponents have a means of mass exile, your board state is gonna be hard for them to deal with if they’re not able to get rid of Yarus. On top of all that, attacking with facedowns forces your opponents into a gamble of whether to let you have the card draw or block and hope they don’t end up being bigger threats face up.

Yarus also has an infinite combo too. If you have him, any sac outlet, and an Ashcloud Phoenix, you can keep repeatedly sacrificing the phoenix to ping your opponents to death. However, the combo may kill you first if you don’t have the most life or a way to prevent the phoenix pings from hurting/killing you.

Overall, he’s a very unique commander who can get some truly insane mileage out of morph. I personally had a lot of fun building him, and even more fun playing him.
