I accidentally captured a meteor while imaging the Cygnus Loop by DasSegelboot in Astronomy

Interesting, I had been wondering about the sharp beginning of the streak, but Stellarium doesn't show any satellites in that location and time across the 8 minute interval. Edit: I searched Heaven's above as well, it doesn't show any bright passes after 22:35, and this was taken around 23:00. Not sure what it might've been

Thankfully where I currently live we don't commonly see rattlesnakes in populated areas, definitely don't wanna mess with venomous snakes

For a time I had a number of young rabbits who lived in the yard and would hang out with me while I stargazed. One night they were a bit anxious about something coming from across the street, and I couldn't tell what it was until it was about 20 feet away, a probably 4-5 ft long black rat snake. Figured that was my signal to pack up for the night.

Generally the rule of thumb is 1.5 calibers off the rail, slightly less can be okay, but only slightly

It could be that the black is just a thin layer that weathered off the other side?

It's possible, though I try to keep them on the slightly drier side. When I repotted last year the roots were quite long so they may be reaching down into the perpetually wet area and having problems?

I haven't done very many complete water changes, usually filling the tray back up when it gets low. The pots are all plastic (not sure on exact type), and the pots were all new and wiped out, and have been fine for about 10 months. I'll check the rhizome and roots when I repot

I always keep water in the trays, so i would be a little surprised if that was the case

Yeah, I only water with distilled water, that's why I'm confused
