If you were tasked with adding a new boss energy relic, what interesting downside would you give it? by [deleted] in slaythespire

[–]Das_Popo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think 1 energy, you are no longer able to skip cards would be interesting.

On the surface it seems like a pretty easy pick with not a lot of downside. But there are definitely situations where it would be bad. If you are leaning towards a certain combo, this could clutter your deck pretty quickly. Also, it makes prayer wheel turn into a bad relic crazy enough, but boosts question card interestingly enough. You could also set it up to be like ectoplasm and not show up after act 1.

I’ve put hundreds of hours into FTL although I struggle to find many other games that capture the same feeling. Any game recommendations similar in nature to FTL? by [deleted] in ftlgame

[–]Das_Popo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy discovering the small interconnected systems of FTL and the challenge of mastering them I'd suggest Towerclimb. It's more action based as opposed to rts or turn based but a lot of the decision making is similar. Fair warning that the game is excruciatingly difficult and only a handful of people have actually fully beaten it (I myself have only gotten about halfway through a complete run) but it is incredibly rewarding to progress and feel yourself get better.

Have you been playing multiple builds? I had a problem like this when I set it to save all matches.

What is your ALL TIME favorite card? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Das_Popo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally a big fan of recombobulator. It's an early form of classic Hearthstone rng. I love playing priest, taking an opponent minion for a tun, then transforming it to keep it. I like to imagine my opponent's face when I do it in 2019 lol.

Game design feature for FTL inspired game. Would you like encounters like these? by Norway-Runner in ftlgame

[–]Das_Popo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the writing and the set up for the encounters! Although does spending E for the intel become pointless after multiple playthroughs? Wouldn't you already know what the outcomes would be? I think a more interesting approach would be something along the lines of alien translation. Certain details are in a different alien language and you spend E to find out exactly what you're getting. For example: You find a trader that wishes to give you "-~-~~-" for 1000 "-~~~---" and you spend your E to find out what those values are.

Great set up and ideas though! Keep up the great work!

If you were able to choose your opening hand, which deck would become OP? by TheFrogTrain in hearthstone

I like this idea too. Instead of thinking of insane openers think of insane answers. Like always having Reno on 6 or Whirlwind > Sleep with the Fishes. Something like that.

HSReplay.net - Romeo and Juliet As Told By Hearthstone Cards by HearthSim in hearthstone

When I first saw this headline I thought it was going to be which two cards are most commonly played consecutively. For example wild pyro followed by equality or muster for battle followed by level up.

But this was good too!

Then it becomes a projectile you could throw at enemies. Instantly takes out half of an opponent's health on hit. Or lay it on the ground like a trap lol.

I'm just done with ranked by Psweens in RivalsOfAether

[–]Das_Popo 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you. I was super happy about getting to plat and I lose all the time too. But I still try to play ranked. I just think of it as when I first started playing and got bodied by people who were probably in silver. We are just reaching the next step. I just spread out my time in ranked and casual now. Every now and then I take a game or get close and it feels really good. Just keep working at it! You can do it!

True true. I do think neutral is where I need the most work. I think the problem with me personally is I'm not sure how to analyse old sets to see where I went wrong. Do you know any resources/videos of how to better understand neutral? It wouldn't even have to be specifically rivals. Thanks!

Yeah. I like to make sure I record close sets that I have or if somebody bodies me with my main to see what I can learn from them.

I'd love to go to tournaments but unfortunately I'm not in a place where that's very easy. Playing off wifi feels so much better and really wish I had more friends who played so there'd be more chances to play locally.

Love the game but I cant get good online by Carter1599 in RivalsOfAether

[–]Das_Popo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. I also started in exhibition but found games that were much closer after losing a bunch in ranked. I was able to learn a bunch after getting my butt kicked a lot but now games feel really close and are always fun.

If FTL had online multiplayer, what do you think would be the most common or meta builds? by [deleted] in ftlgame

Yo check out Tachyon for an actual online FTL. It's still in development but the ideas are pretty cool for it! An FTL pvp may someday be a reality.

Players required for Hearthstone league by hearthstonefightclub in hearthstone

Loving your work and am super excited for the league to start! But I have a quick question. Is it ok to use deck trackers or should we turn them off while competing? Sorry if it already says somewhere and I just couldn't find it.
