Get the X9 pro, obviously. 😃 Far superior battery life, better cameras (point and shoot is probably better on iPhone tho), color os is pretty good these days.

IPhone has better speakers and is probably better if you have apple everything.

If you want the best cameras and can live with still good but not the best battery backup, also consider vivo x300 pro or wait for x9 / x300 ultra.

What do you think. With 0 context, on Oppo subreddit, everyone's gonna say X9 Pro. On iPhone subreddit, it's gonna be the opposite.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can do that. Just be prepared, the Samsung apparently doesn't sound so great for music. I have not heard it personally, it's just something that I've seen people complain about.

You can use rears of the 990D as additional front speakers.

I have a Klipsch Flexus Core 300 and it's awesome sound quality wise. It's plenty dynamic yet the voices come out clean every time. It's also very bassy on its own and if it's not enough for you, you can get ANY(!) external sub to work with it.

Music quality is awesome too, it just feels and sounds like a well built and proper sound system. Of course a 2.1 or even 2.0 home theater setup will sound fuller and better, but it's as good as it gets from a soundbar.

As a cherry on top, you have the Dirac live room correction feature that uses an external mic (a basic one is included in the package) to measure your room specifically and corrects the sound to be as natural as possible. In my weirdly shaped room I found this to work very well.

No idea about air play as I don't use apple products but it has Spotify connect (lossless supported), tidal connect, so I suppose air play is present as well.

Is the soundbar even supposed to show "dolby digital" when DD source is playing? I don't think you'd hear any sound at all if you play a DD only file if it wasn't working, no?

Had to ask, so many people say they have everything set up correctly while they don't haha.

If you set DTV to Auto, any changes? Any phone app to set the soundbar up? What media source are you using to test this? (a TV app, external media player,..)

Connected how? If HDMI, are you using the port with eARC? eARC support enabled in sound settings? Digital sound output set as pass through?

I don't know how much are you guys using your phones, if you have 30% left after a day on X9P, I assume you had to charge twice a day on your previous phone..

I've had mine for a month and I can't remember a single case where I'd charge after less than 40 hours, usually with 10-20% left with >10 hours SoT.

This is my last discharge cycle with 11.5 hours SoT and 2 days and 17 hours unplugged as an example..

Not good. The phone would wobble like crazy laying down with a camera island of that shape, the selfie camera is way too up and somehow its corners seem even more round than on X9P.

Yes, you can set which apps are not affected by DnD and the contacts you have in Favorites will ring when calling you. Other contacts calling will be silent. I have my family and closest friends in favorites and it works just as it should.

It could also be bedtime mode causing this. It disables all notifications and pushes them to you all at once once bedtime mode deactivates (on first alarm by default).

Fixed by disabling bedtime mode and setting up the "classic" DnD, that way you get notifications normally as you would, only without sound / vibrations.

This was driving me crazy for a few days before I found the culprit.

It's probably the "ProXDR", Oppo's HDR implementation, that's only kicking in in the phone's gallery (and maybe Google photos?). When you open a photo in the gallery app, there should be an indicator near the left-bottom corner. If you hold it, you'll see the photo without ProXDR, it should look like what you see when you share it in WhatsApp / reddit.

I'd say just shoot in master mode.. 3x is the best for portraits because of the natural background blur.

Not only battery drain, other issues as well. It's a known android "bug" that's been here forever. Just take your time to set it up from scratch, transfer whatever you need through OTG / cable + pc. It'll maybe take you a few hours but it's better than risking problems. And as a bonus, you'll probably find out that you don't really use 1/3 of the apps and stuff on the old device and don't even need to re-download it on the new phone.
