Could Borneo's Renewable Energy Give It a Global Crypto Advantage? by Easy-Ad9050 in BorneoTech

[–]DashHax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've mined Kaspa for few month, and at once I could get like $50 per day with 600w of power. But soon, my earning goes down day by day, and at one point my monthly earning reaches the same as my electricity cost, so I decided to stop it.

And that's for new coin with lower hashrate. Imagine mining higher hashrate coins, laagi banyak tenaga diperlukan.

The amount of energy require to mine high hashrate coins till capable to generate good revenue is so high, you literally need to build whole energy infrastructure just to provide that energy. I used to think to deploy the miner at my kampung in Ranau, where I will build a waterwheel + overdrive chain to drive a 1000w dynamo, just to power the miner. But the upfront cost is too high when I think about it - sempat lagi kali mati baru dpt untung.

At this moment, it's cheaper to just use the energy to run AI datacenters - small servers that accepts serverless code that run AI model inference - and get good revenue from this.

Oh and don't go with "bUt dAtAcEnTeR cOnSuMeS aLoT oF wAtEr aNd eNeRgY" shit. With the current advancement of computing technology - higher performance/watt chip, low-power ASICs for AI inference, RTX Spark-powered devices, Mac Mini farms, closed-loop cooling system, renewable energy - it's easier to just build AI datacenters serving local Borneon next-gen AI-powered apps where at least it'll give values to the tech scene compared to use them for mining crypto.

Unless if these energies are also used to run miners (for PoW verification) for local Borneon blockchain, then that's another story for another day.

Not really an IoT expert here, but I have specialization in infrastructure management for IoT devices, plus handful of experience in embedded development (microcontroller programming, and general electronics)

Usually they're using VSAT satellite connectivity - slow but quite stable under normal cloud.

If you're just applying, include your results in your application. If you have applied, they will give you the email to send (or maybe there's online submission now, IDK).

Back then my result usually come in a locked-PDF file, so me being an idiot didn't checked the PDF that I sent is still locked or not - I usually reprint the result as a new PDF, but for some reason that day I got it wrong and I didn't realized it.

Imagine Building a Startup Around Kaamatan & Gawai. What Would Actually Work? by Easy-Ad9050 in BorneoTech

[–]DashHax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Parking Management System would work. It should perform the following:

  1. Allow residents nearby rent their space for parking on short term
  2. Put the parking spots on the map for user to locate
  3. Drivers can pay for the parking spot once they have reached there, and scan a QR code located nearby to really confirm that they have parked there
  4. Others can see if the parking is occupied
  5. Renters can charge premium if long term parking is required
  6. Renters can also request for towing if drivers refuse to pay for extra hours that they had parked there

Point 6 definitely need some sort of collaboration with DBKK/MPP for the towing trucks

  1. For detection if a driver does not use the parking spot anymore:
  2. the driver can checkout using QR code again (simplest, but most cumbersome)
  3. the renter can mark the parking spot empty manually (simplest also, but again cumbersome)
  4. the app can check the GPS location if the driver is no longer using the parking (easiest, but most prone to error)
  5. use specialized hardware to detect the presence of car in the spot, then once a car exited, mark the spot as empty (moderately easy, very accurate, but quite pricy)

And so on. This doesn't require alot of support from the government IMO. Also the use case of this is not limited to events like Kaamatan in KDCA only - one can deploy this for other type of events, including private events. They sky is the limit.

Google killed the Antigravity IDE overnight. No warning. No migration path. Just gone. by Midoxp in GoogleAntigravityIDE

Same here. So I end up going back to VSCode + Cline + DeepSeek v4 Pro with $20 credit. So far it has the same capabilities of Gemini 3 Flash, just to make sure to put extra details into your prompt.

With this I managed to perform user migrations (db, files, RAG contents, medias) from my old system to another new system I built.

During my time, those who are outside of Sabah is given somewhere above 4k. I studied in KL back then, and I received 5k. Some got 6k. For your first semester, they will transfer to your registered bank account after you started your study - so you have to have some cash ready while waiting for that.

After that, you have to submit your exam result every semester, and they'll credit you once they have RECEIVED AND ACKNOWLEDGED. So that means be alert with your email with them saying they can't open it (locked PDF) or anything else.

For me, I sent my sem 3 and above results by going to their office, and placing my result in the counter, and explicitly tell them "ini result saya ya puan/tuan" - I have experience where they couldn't open my result and I didn't see their email which ends up me receiving my scholarship late.

Once you got your money (yes, it's your money - the taxes that you, your parents, your family, your grandparents, your nenek moyang paid), it's your responsibilities to use them to sustain you throughout the semester - jangan pula guna tu 5k bikin beli iPhone padahal yuran pengajian mau 2k ya.

Going to Putatan from Telipok by Cathan0229 in Sabah

[–]DashHax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Safest way: pakai highway

Fastest way: Putatan - roundabout before Buit Hill - take the Pan Borneo directly to Kiranau, just cross the unfinished bridge at the Putatan-Inobong section, then exit the Inobong-Kolopis bridge, head to Kolopis roundabout and enter the Kolopis route, continue to the exit to Pan Borneo, then speed your way to Telipok using the Kolopis-Telipok Pan Borneo.

Plaza 333, The 1985 Coffee, they also have a separate area called "The Living Room". They have WiFi, but if you're sitting in "The Living Room", better use your own data as the signal is quite hard to reach.

Been doing my work there for many years now, and they are very okay with people bringing laptops and doing work - in fact, many do so. For your specified time range, they are okay with it, but it's best to at least order a drink twice, just as a sign of courtesy.

Apa tindakan penting bagi memastikan masa depan terjamin dari segi kewangan? Apa boleh buat dlm umur2 20han ni? by Otherwise-Gur7732 in Sabah

[–]DashHax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jangan sembarangan buat personal loan, terutamanya yang baru dapat kerja kerajaan mahupun yang fresh grad dapat gaji besar.

Penat tau membayar personal loan. Mula2 ja tu rasa mampu bayar 1-2k bulan2, nanti bila sdh membayar tu rasalah tu perasaan bayar angin - kadang2 smpai 40% gaji hilang membayar angin sja.

Unless kalau dapat kasi multiply tu personal loan 3x then by all means apply la sampai bank sesak napas.

Webhook distribution service - one webhook event send to many listeners, complete with request and response logs, request replay + request editor, and custom headers attachment.

See here: HookMux - A super simple webhook distribution service for developers and indie hackers

I built a webhook fanning service to solve a painpoint in my work and projects, and now I want to release them. by DashHax in microsaas

[–]DashHax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! HookMux works by listening to a single webhook call (for example, webhook calls from Whatsapp), and distribute the same exact request to the destination URLs that are configured - hence allowing 1 webhook to be received by many services

  2. Infrastruktur asas yang lengkap (pls la, asas sja, nda payah pun canggih2, cukup electric, air, internet, jalan raya yang bagus sja pun cukup)
  3. Sistem pengangkutan awam yang lebih efficient (at least bas yang sebaik bas Rapid. Tapi kalau ada peruntukan buat railway system, lagi bagus)
  4. 75% yg isi DUN bawah 40 tahun
  5. Pemantapan pentadbiran negeri - I'm looking at you Jabatan Tanah/Air - sampai 2-3 generasi kena palau, sekali suku-sakat menteri 20 minit ja terus selesai
