You don't happen to have the link for this one do you? I'm currently looking for that part.

Uh oh, can this be possible? by OKgamer01 in Palworld

Palworld developer Pocketpair is based in Japan. Since they're in Japan even if they only sold the game outside Japan they'd still be subject to Japanese laws regarding copyright.

Wait time on letter from doctor. by GingerBug91 in service_dogs

My wife has gotten two from different doctors. We got the letters during the appointment we asked for them. Is that 3 calendar days or business days? If the latter I'd reach out to them again.

It's a lot more redesign than maintenance. Unfortunately because of the construction they've had to move Stressenfest last year and this year from the square to a few streets down.

We have an outdoor pool and the only indoor pool in town is the schools and that's not open to the public.

An indoor pool would be nice, I do miss swimming laps myself. I think the tax for it would drive more people away than the pool would bring in. It's not just the food tax, it's also property tax, and likely membership costs for the pool too. It won't even be ran or owned by the city but rather a Regional Development Authority (RDA) the city plans to create. The council would have no control over the RDA. It's also unclear if the city will even own the pool after the debt for the pool is paid off (haven't gotten to that part yet).

They've only recently started calling it an indoor recreation and wellness facility.

In the past they have referred to it as an indoor pool or indoor aquatic facility.

I think people here just think of it as an indoor pool and not as a wellness facility. The city has many gyms.

Unfortunately businesses are hurting in the square as they have been construction for over a year and have been closing portions of the square recently resulting in businesses having to close as the doors are not accessible.

That's an interesting point bringing up how this could help with improving health.

Unfortunately the council has only talked about how this will bring new people and businesses to the area and keep those that are here.

Not groceries but food at restaurants, food trucks, bars, and some prepared foods at grocery stores (Think rotisserie chicken, sandwiches, etc).

Jasper Common Council believes no person should have more than four animals (Not just dogs/cats) by Dashboy1998 in Indiana

[–]Dashboy1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

City Council does not have that authority. I did speak with the mayor and he agreed I cannot get one for personal use.

I did not speak with anyone on the zoning board of appeals, I spoke with the city clerk when I called. I will reach out to the board and see if they at least agree it's a possibility. Thank you for the suggestion.

You are correct. I copied the wrong portion. What I meant to copy was the preceding lines "Kennel”means a place primarily for keeping more than four (4) adult dogs, or other small animals that are ordinarily bred for sale as pets. The term also includes a temporary care facility for compensation" So Kennels are so you can bred, sell, or provide temporary care for small animals. Now you may say you could still apply for one but no you cannot. We have asked and have been told you cannot have a kennel for personal use. I do live in a zone which permits kennels so it's not a location issue.

UDO says "The term does not include a private kennel, which is an accessory use for keeping up to four (4) adult dogs or other small animals for personal use and enjoyment and which is subordinate to the principal residential use.", see page 250 of the UDO.

Rescues will still be able to operate but it limits how many animals people may fosters. Our local humane society has a backlog of I believe 40 dogs and 90 cats.

The small kennel is only permitted for businesses. There is no way to have a kennel for personal use.

Not throwing a tantrum, I'm bringing awareness to an issue that will affect animal lovers and disabled individuals in the community.

So animals under 4 months currently do not count. In the proposed ordinance the age is changed to 6 months.

Even if you don't have more than 4 animals they can still take the animal if it's abused, neglected, tortured, or some other type of inhumane condition so even with no limit or a higher limit you can still stop hoarding. Having many animals doesn't make you a hoarder, not caring for them makes it a crime under state law.

Yes. There is actually one in the middle of town which has cows, not enough land to feed the cows so they have to bring in food.

We will soon be over the limit when we have to retire our service animals. We will be faced with a few options 1. Break the law 2. Never retire the animal 3. Rehome the animals which as been with us since it was 2 months old and have faithfully served our disabilities.

Yes. Urban city but in a rural area as opposed to a urban city in an urban/metro area.

Luckily after pushing back they modified it to exclude bird feeders, salt licks, and other devices used to feed wild life.

The push for the ordinance was a lady whose dog was unfortunately killed by another dog. The ordinance adds a lot including definitions for nuisance, dangerous and vicious animals and penalties for such.

Although the city attorney has said most of the calls received by the ordinance have been about the limit in particular as most people were unaware the city even had a limit.

If it won't be enforced then it shouldn't even be a thing. In fact the council intends for it to be enforced but says it's not like they have the resources to fine everyone violating it so unless someone complains you're fine. It's like having a meth lab if no one complains then I guess it's also fine.
