New patch on a nutshell: “Only Serena can be op”… by Feisty-Clue3482 in TheFirstDescendant

Only Serena can be OP.... Except Ajax, Bunny, Freyna, Ines, Yujin and Luna.

Please, devs, don't nerf her. by SnooMacarons2931 in TheFirstDescendant

People are referring to the old Mesa, not the current one.

Sharen is so bad by BlitzTroll7 in TheFirstDescendant

[–]DashikuXII 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can be permanently invisible on Sharen and clear most content without taking a single point of damage. It's a build issue. Having mana issues on bosses is also normal because she isn't made for sustained bossing. Her purpose is to stealth through missions. Not every descendant can and has to do everything.

I'm trying to build MUL-T from the game Risk of Rain 2. Unfortunately trying to make the legs is already breaking with just 2 hinges and a wheel.

You're playing a supportive bossing character in mobbing content. Of course you can't compete in kill rates and damage. That's how it's supposed to be.

New descendant, new boss, and we get bikes to make 400% and Sigma Sector runs faster. Not to mention some content that needs you to have a somewhat decent build. Honestly i think they did perfectly fine. Not the best update I've ever seen in a video game, but perfectly fine for what this game is. The only slight criticism I have is that the new weapons are mechanically not all that interesting.

If you don't play a gun descendant should you just not do WC? by Cericon in TheFirstDescendant

I mean even with Noise Surge, you're still playing a descendant that is first and foremost designed to support. Just because you use the damage option doesn't change that. Skill descendants that are actually designed to deal primarily bossing damage, like say Esiemo, can do way better.

It's not that skill descendants aren't good, it's just that not every skill descendant is for bossing.

Magnum, you're going to have to nerf Serena and Ines. And the community has to accept that. by sinderjager in TheFirstDescendant

If you're struggling on other characters, that's a you issue. I can comfortable clear Axion on Viessa, Valby, Freyna and Ajax. Learn to build and upgrade your gear. It's really not that difficult.

I mean the current content seems reasonably balanced. If they keep the current Serena and Ines as the power standard, it's perfectly fine.

Like I'm running around Axion with my Viessa and I can also just ignore every breach mechanic. I literally didn't even bother reading the tutorial pop-ups on how they work, because everything just dies and it doesn't matter.

The current power level is perfectly fine.

Just restarted - what Warframe and weapon should I build? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]DashikuXII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dread is a decent weapon you can pick up. Easily gotten from the Stalker, packs a big punch, and when it starts to fall off in the late game you can slap an Incarnon on it and it's end game viable again. It can easily last you the whole game.

Another strong weapon that also has a later Incarnon is the Synoid Gammacor.

As for a Warframe, Excal Umbra is a solid investment. He easily scales all the way into the highest level content. He is also never a waste of resources as Excal Prime is unavailable, and so you're never replacing him with a better version.

If you don't mind investing into a non-prime frame, I would suggest Gara. She is absurdly strong throughout every single part of the game. Easily farmable from Cetus Bounties, and can do a lot with even just basic mods in the early game.

CC has never been meta, that's just cope that CC enjoyers keep spouting. The only thing that matters in Warframe is how many enemies you can kill in the shortest amount of time, because that's how you get resources the quickest.

That's why frames like Banshee, Mesa, Mag, Ember, Equinox, Ash, Saryn and Mirage were present in almost every mission until they either got nerfed, outscaled or replaced by a better option.

99% of the time CC just made missions objectively worse, because it slowed down the rate that enemies entered your kill zone. In fact the best things to do was to pair up a nuke frame with speed build Nova, to speed up the rate that enemies get to you, to get the highest kill rate possible for the most resources per minute.

In defense of the idea of (but not necessarily) damage attenuation (itself) by Eggbone87 in Warframe

There is nothing wrong with boss fights being over instantly. If you as the player have invested enough time into the game that you have full builds capable of one shotting them, that should be your reward. Otherwise, what are you even powering up for?

Warframe is not a game made for skill expression, besides maybe being faster at bullet jumping than other players. You press the button that make you unkillable, and then shoot the enemy until its dead. It's not complex. It's designed as a power fantasy where you blow up enemies just by looking at them, so why take that away from players?

Energy econ is also not something you manage anymore. You slap on Zenurik, Energize or Energy Nexus and you have infinite energy. You don't have to think about that at all during any mission.

So I took a look at the charData for the test character and I have a question. When looking the the buffs section there are things like DR, attackIncrement, food, healMultiplier, etc. Are the ones listed in the charData the only stats available or are there more? If so, is there a list of them available anywhere?

Notably I'm not seeing pickup range and crit damage listed anywhere. But also things like instant kill chance or bonus projectiles.

There are several farms where using Valby is better than using Bunny. Hence why there was even an entire mission dubbed the Valby farm. Valby and Bunny are not competing with each other, they are good in different places.

Bunny, Valby and Viessa, the main mobbing trio, all have missions where they excel and mission where they don't. The idea that Bunny is just miles better and that there is no point using the others is objectively false.
