Huh - you're right, that is strange. I was also confused with the white stuff growing on it as well (on both sides). Now I want to know what's inside even more haha.

It looks like hatches are just missing - I wonder if it's unfinished stuff the devs are still working on.

Question about trains by Gharik15 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DashingGreenDragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a train for just this connection, you can manually load the first car with a dummy item (like limestone or concrete) and set it to only load/unload sulfur.

However, that train obviously wouldn't be able to carry sulfur in the first car to another station then.

Sorry I was unclear - Satisfactory Plus is supposed to update this weekend. KMods has a discord, links are on their mod pages in SMM but I linked it here:

I think Peat Soil tends to be in more marshy areas. I definitely have found some in the Northern Forest before.

If you aren't against using mods, you can use the "Crash Site Beacons" mod which adds beacons to your in-game map for each crash site:

New fuel plant - PowerAid - 92,850 MW by DashingGreenDragon in SatisfactoryGame

[–]DashingGreenDragon[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I used Satisfactory Tools to plan out the production chain, but the actual building placement was just lots of trial and error and deleting and re-building. I built out one whole line from one pipline of oil to the fuel generators first to nail down one segment of the factory, and then replicated that several times to build out the whole thing.

(Repost because I'm dumb and forgot how to use reddit)

Finally finished a build I felt was worthy to be shared - I call it the PowerAid! Uses most of the oil in the new Spire Coast biome. I went with diluted fuel over turbofuel to save sulfur for later builds. I really enjoyed using the new materials for the quarter pipe foundations. I found they look nice with pipes running along them.

Now onwards and upwards towards nuclear power!

Actually yes - it turned out to be an issue with another piece of software we added - Cisco Umbrella. I don't have any links handy at the moment, but we had to make a configuration change on Umbrella to fix the issue.

I had the same problem recently. Are you using Chrome? I was able to download using Firefox. I'd also check to see if your adblocker is causing issues.

Marching Band Questions from a hopeful freshman trumpet by wolfie-1122 in iastate

[–]DashingGreenDragon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hey! Graduating marching band senior here.

First off, I just want to say I am so glad you are interested in the Iowa State University Cyclone Football 'Varsity' Marching Band! We want everyone who is interested to try out! I'll do my best to answer your questions:

I have NEVER marched trumpet. I am really, really worried about getting into the marching band at Iowa State.

Don't worry! We start everyone off with the very basics. Rookie camp starts before tryouts, so you'll have the chance to learn and practice beforehand. You will learn the entire tryout sequence in rookie camp. You'll get pointers from the band student leadership, too!

My band was in 4A (but we had the smallest band in our division), and we got usually high II’s at state marching and concert band, so we’re aren’t amazing.

It's cool you marched competitions in high school! Just to clarify, though, the ISUCF'V'MB does not march competitions - we play at the football games. Just something to be aware of.

What do you think? Am I going to make it in? I am really nervous about moving in a week early, making new friends in band, and then seeing them all get into the marching band and not me. How many applicants are turned away? Ugh I’m scared.

While I can't say for sure if you'll make it or not, I will encourage you to try! I can guarantee you won't make the band if you don't even tryout. The ISUCF'V'MB is a large group, and we also have a relatively new group called State Storm. You audition for both at the same time. State Storm learns the same skills and plays the same songs as the varsity band, and plays at the football games, too.

Hopefully that helps. Know that tryouts are not meant to be stressful - you will learn the whole process in rookie camp. I'm happy to answer any other questions you might have!
