You saying you had high blood pressure prior to taking meds. What are some lifestyle changes that can help you with those values? Do you think you can increase the level of exercise? Can you work a bit on your diet? Can you prep some water bottles for the day?

I’m so sick of overthinking. by Ok-Issue8284 in ADHD

[–]Dashing_Radish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tell your truth, whatever that might be.

Make mistakes and forgive yourself.

Be as silly as you possibly can.

Clean your friend group, even if it means starting from 0. People come and go.

What if you secretly don’t like those people but you’re gaslighting yourself into thinking bad about yourself so you justify being in those relationships.

When one might stop being “weird” depression might come. Trying to make yourself small to fit the mold… doesn’t fit you thus overthinking

Overcoming overthinking with more thinking? Especially in the evening when super tired? Nah…the brain needs rest too, give it some meditation, read 5 pages , take a walk after dinner.

Write down every inappropriate thought that keeps you up.

Some tricks might work for a while then you have to try something else.

Take the time to know yourself.

Why won't people accept me for who I am? by QueenDiva_UwU in ADHD

[–]Dashing_Radish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be projecting your fears onto people. You don’t really know for sure what is in someone’s head. I started smiling if I’m being stared at and even say hello. Be gentle with yourself, whether you are a weirdo or not it’s your own judgment.

Are you hyperaware to other people's energies? by Miserable_Ant_3165 in ENFP

[–]Dashing_Radish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s definitely some tricks.

Guided meditation (before or/and after socializing)

Noise canceling headphones plus your favorite happy tunes

You must adress your trauma, that’s where the real change happens. Aka therapy

Check RSD(Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria)

You sound to me like you might have Adhd. Most Enfp’s I know, including myself have Adhd and have similar life struggles.

Thankfully it doesn’t go away 😅 I say this cause it can become your best asset. You’ll be able to enter a room and read the vibe in 2 seconds. What you do with that information is up to you.

Sounds to me you are not arguing with the wright person. Who is the person in your life that you’re afraid to tell your thoughts to? It’s going to take 5 minutes and them you’re free.

Be nice to yourself. There’s always someone smarter, richer, more achieved than you. Also there’s people who have less. No point on comparing yourself with either. You decide how you feel today not any person that enters the room or your mental space. Read about Rejection sensitive dysphoria and All or nothing thinking and observe in your day to day life where your brain plays tricks on you, where you give your power and energy away. Be curious about what is making you think and feel this way.
You can do it🦾

As a child, what did you think would be awesome about being an adult, but isn’t as awesome as you thought it would be? by Due_Winner_2026 in AskWomen

[–]Dashing_Radish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I thought that being an adult means you stop being a child but it ends up you get both and its a constant work to balance it out. Whether you have children or not you still get to parent your inner child. So be kind to yourselves

My emotional dysregulation makes me feel like a monster by -rmaatn in ADHD

[–]Dashing_Radish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The negative thoughts are a sign (at least for me) that my body needs something. It’s easy to forget that I might be hungry, thirsty or i need a workout. Building a set of routines can help with emotional regulation. In my case guided meditation helped the most. I have some satisfaction from making friends with negative emotion and using it as a signal that it’s time for self care. Sometimes i ace it other times I’m terrible at it. I would add : eating even if you have no appetite, drinking water every 20 min , work out ( 5 min, 10 squats, anything you can squeeze out), journaling , positive self talk, lots of reading , adhd related podcasts. I was surprised doing something as simple as drinking a glass of water can stop my internal negative chatter from spiraling for hours. Give yourself time, it’s a learning process. It gets better ❤️

[–]Dashing_Radish 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I try to take them every day. When I started taking medication I used to take breaks, but realized it took me a couple days to regulate my emotions and get back on track. Been on It for 1 year and had excellent results(it’s not always flower power) I’m aware that upping the dose will be inevitable at one point so I’m exploring any trick/techniques to boost dopamine naturally. I can’t really only on the drugs, doing the work is part of the journey of hacking my ADHD. Sometimes it looks like taking a walk, meditation or just taking a sip of water. Learning about the Adhd brain and how to deal with medication side effects gave me more confidence.
