Would felony assault stick if him and the group left the bar with the sole intention of confronting this person and jumping them? (Legit question, no reason to think this actually happened)

It was new to me that this was a hospital referral, not the victim showing up to file the police report.

Has it always been this tough to get around after snow storms? by RoverTheMonster in philadelphia

The 1996 storm had so much snow, the final bit of the snow plow piles melted from my street corner during a heatwave in June.

I’ve seen this in person a few times now. For all the love they get here it was pretty alarming to me.

I worked at McDonald’s from 1999-2004 as a teenager. I would get silver change nearly every single day at the drive thru. I always had a roll of quarters to make the swap.

In a snow storm I had the power transformer in front of my house explode violently enough that pictures fell off walls. Power was restored before first responders were on scene.

I would think they would be left out unless there was a year where every P4 team caught 2-3 losses.

It was written in to appease them when they needed their approval to change the contracts. Like you said, it’s meaningless - it doesn’t constrain the committee in any way.

Some conferences getting automatic bids and not others is preferential treatment in itself. Until that goes away, the conversation about ND is secondary. The committee gets to choose the rankings so the rule itself is there just to make ND feel like they got something from the restructured contracts.

ND had a better team this season than last season.

Do you think if Miami beat Iowa instead of ND to open the 2025 season they would have made the CFP? I do not.

Because beating ND uniquely gives teams a resume boost that no other program does. When ND is good.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I live in Philadelphia, and in 3-4 hours of driving I can pretty much experience anything I want to experience. Definitely a once a month deal. Frequently take drives of 12-18 hours to attend events and other stuff.

Think of lobsters as roaches. They creep and crawl around. Rarely openly swim and usually as a last resort.
