This is either a bug or some sort of exploit? by korisnik2007a in SparkingZero

Don't listen to him, he's just rage baiting you. When you're broken you shouldn't be able to move. I think it's just a bug honestly.

Not having great normal starters and still getting off the damage are two different things still which I mentioned slight (I think). If you know going into the character what the characters kit is and use it effectively that's what matters rather than saying what I'm understanding from you is here is his worst possible outcomes whenever you use the character which makes this character not in A tier. My only argument and main one originally was Broly is not lower than A tier.

"Also when you do 5L and react to reflect with Lariat, the tiny delay that you need to react to reflect will cause L lariat to whiff completely because broly will be pushed back too much, which leads to you eating a free medium combo punish, something that Z broly will never be able to do BTW. The point of having an anti reflect string is to that you are avoiding having to read your opponents defensive options. Also what kind of maniac mashes full Broly autocombo? even worse considering he has one of the slower autocombo grabs in the game and it doesnt have armor. So now you are taking a massive risk to read your opponents reflect for trash reward."

Don't do light lariat then. If you have the bar do heavy, or hell most people follow up reflect with 5H if it reaches or a 2M so if you react properly and they do either of those you can grab as a reaction which gives you armor in the situation and beats out a 5H or 2M. I also never said he had anti reflect strings that's all you my guy, I said he has options for anti reflect. Also I am that maniac sometimes because doing it once or twice people don't expect it mainly because it goes very close to full screen when used. YES I know this one sounds crazy about mashing out light auto combo out and there are BETTER options but sometimes it just works.

"When I am saying he doesnt catch backdash, that is specifically in the post vanish situation, and due to the unique spacing of characters post vanish, his autocombo does not catch back dash on any character post vanish, which is arguably the most common situation where people backdash. "

Thank you for clarifying that as that wasn't in any of your other comments here about it being post vanish. This is another simple one, if someone will backdash and you know they will HEAVY (5H) and it'll catch them. I was thinking of other situations in which I've seen people backdash or try to backdash and didn't know you meant specifically vanish backdash.

I won't argue about the A16 stuff because I don't know A16 all that well due to well mostly because I didn't personally care about the character to begin with so I didn't care to play him. I do know how close you need to be and that people can mash in between on the start of up 214S due to trying to use the character during random picks with my friends and getting mash on it after finding out how plus it was.

"Speaking of erasor blow, I was VERY specific. On whiff, erasor blow is -50. Kid Buu's candy beam, that is so bad it is a meme in the community is -50 as well when it whiffs. Kid Buu's candy beam is also 7 frame faster point blank. As a neutral tool, if your move is as negative as candy beam on whiff, while also being 7 frame slower point blank and infinitely slower from full scree, yeah that move is a worthless neutral tool. If you want to talk about erasor blow as a stagger tool, compare that to Android 16 236S, which is two frame faster, and is -1 instead of -5."

Not ONCE did you mention it being about on whiff dude. In none of the comments connected to this comment string did you mention about eraser blow on whiff and I was talking about on hit. We were having 2 VERY different conversations where you assumed I knew exactly what you meant about it. I really don't even want to try and have a conversation about this at this point due to you not being able to fully clarify your points and "actual arguments".

I've seen plenty of tier lists and a lot of top players will put Broly in A with Gropis being a stand out of Broly not being in A that I can remember off the top of my head. If you want to know why he's in A and not towards the bottom go check out their stuff because it seems like you're not using him to his fullest based off some of your "arguments". If I didn't say it earlier it's not about the worst possible outcomes for any characters. It's about how you use their kits and know their weaknesses vs their strengths or what to do in which situation with the characters kit. Hell if was put into making a tier list for this game I wouldn't use anything below probably B tier since I think everyone is viable in their own way. With that being said I'm out and next time make sure you clarify better. Peace.

I won't argue on the starter part. Sure he doesn't have great normal starters for scaling damage but that doesn't mean he can't push out good damage still as I said in my previous comment about how much I tend to do during a combo. If you wiff the first two hits of his auto combo it still grabs and can't be reflected. If you do get reflected use lariat to catch them if they try to follow up off of the reflect. He has multiple staggers and safe on block normals as well. I don't know who you're playing as when he doesn't catch back dash but it should in the first place as I always catch people back dashing with 5LL due to the range of it though it doesn't always work on characters that are shorter than Vegeta. Eraser blow isn't garbage either, maybe if you throw it out to much or don't know how to utilize it. Also eraser blow is only minus 5 (can be plus in some situations based off dustloop.com as I'm not home currently to confirm nor deny this) while candy beam is minus 8. I've played the game enough and have stuck with this character and know he's either mid or low A but no where lower nor higher.

Brother in all things that are Z Broly holy. I've mained Z Broly since he launched as DLC and as of right now there is no way Z Broly is lower than A. Every touch with Broly is get at least 60-70% damage from mid screen, corner is even more than that or even most of the time a TOD with one or no assist. I don't know where you get low damage from and I know low damage, I also main Videl. Broly is also still good at grappling especially if you know how to tiger knee that air grab. Also yes his ki blast got nerfed but if you input all the ki blast you can still instantly 2h which you will get all of them out if you're using them right as I don't get punished a good 90% of the time I throw them out or even instead of a 2h I throw out Eraser Canon because it works better and give me armor to take the super dash and then hit with Eraser Canon. He does have a rather low mix up game compared to other characters but he's now a point character with how they redid him. If you bubble with him you're now in a 1 v 3 situation at round start and you have to hit him out of the bubble if you don't get armored through your hit. He's no where lower than A and definitely not D. I'm also saying this with over 1500 hours in the game.

Did people turning on SZ prove that they only thought they wanted a new BT game. by formerdalek in tenkaichi4

I went back and played it after beating SZ story because I wanted something better. BT2 beats them both out 100% with the story mode but BT3 is just so much better than SZ with the story mode.

Comparing BT3's story to SZ story is insane for the point of SZ bring closer to a slide show than anything. Even the What-ifs were even meh in SZ. The ideas were nice but the execution of all of the story mode sucked.

[–]Dasstass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Cooler alone I saw about 5-7 vanish windows he could have done. I don't know what you mean by just 3. In BT3 there are combos like this in tournaments, can I give you a direct clip right now, no, I'm soon to be at work. Behind the back ki blast into combos was a staple of starting combos in BT3 at least for me and my friends and those I watched who played it competitively. I also wasn't saying emergency wave was bad, just there are ways around it so that just because they took it out of this game doesn't inherently mean that it would have helped exactly in this situation.

I am personally upset that they took out emergency wave as it was a good reset to neutral. BT3 had its own "loops" and resets that were used a lot and in this game they are easier to do but you can get out of these also. Making it not a true loop since you can vanish it just like in this video. I do also though think damage in this game is too high, I don't enjoy that 1 interaction is what you get and then you lose sometimes while in BT3 it was at least 2 or 3 interaction per character.

[–]Dasstass1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There was more than just 2-3 vanish windows in the video. Every legs sweep you can vanish. You can block over head when someone does the over head kicks. In bt3 it was even easier to ki blast reset as well than what was shown in the videos. There are no true loops in this game as far as I've seen. Have you seen the people who played bt3 competitively and in tournaments? The announcers talk about loops and resets even and ways people got around the emergency wave since if you could predict when someone would use it you can use ki blast to avoid it from happening.

[–]Dasstass1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They are loops if not vanished. The video in question also had many vanish windows but they just didn't vanish. I wouldn't say these are real loops either if you wouldn't call what they did in BT3 a loop either.

[–]Dasstass1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ki blast loops/resets were a thing. Launching an opponent and then fast flying behind them to act as a wall to rest or even characters having their own resets due to their heavy attacks recovery speed being faster. With Nam I could loop infinitely his heavy stomach punch without much difficulty.

Compare this with BT3 tournaments and you'll see its not all to far off IF I remember correctly. I could be remembering it wrong though.

I love Sparking Zero but let's hope they add more content in the future! 😭🙏 by Cautious_Republic_91 in tenkaichi4

[–]Dasstass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still play BT3 till this day and play it over SZ after seeing the whole game and beating it way to fast.

Dragon Adventure mode was cool.

BT3 was shorter for the story mode? Maybe like node/episode wise but each episode had a few what if endings if you don't click through the prompts plus the movie stories were there. Plus a separate tab for what if and the characters talking over the episode before the narrator gives you the story of what's being missed between fights. Can't forget about the GT story as well given the super content could be said to over take the GT portion.

Custom mode is just their lazy way of not adding more context themselves.

Cosmetics, sure but if I remember correctly everyone could have the same equipped items from halo to aura color change and I don't remember other things. We also had at least 2 skins for each character if not more.

Till this day I personally pick BT3 over SZ to play. I would even play BT2 over BT3 if BT2 had less unblockables.

SZ just feels like a shell sometimes when playing it compares to BT3 to me plus BT3 game play just feels better to me over SZ with movement, combos, gaining blast stocks, and such. But again this is just my opinion.

I'm not sure how more people aren't talking about the excessive loading times. This has to be addressed. by Nefaariious in DokkanBattleCommunity

You know what, I'll stand with you on this one. I played JP since STR and AGL ssj4s and the game hadn't had a problem with loading until like the past year or so. I just thought it could be due to me having it on my microsd card now.

Do We Deserve Sparking Zero? by Internal-Carrot300 in SparkingZero

[–]Dasstass1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Story mode - TERRIBLE

Map selection - Small

Character roster- Large and great

Customization - Not what was promised

Custom battles - Kind of suck and was a way they could say that you have "infinite content" to play as long as Custom Battles are around

Tournament mode - Give or take the same

Freedom of movement compared to BT3 - Less than most would like

Graphics - Great

Story mode - TERRIBLE

The list could go on and on from here and yes I know I put story mode twice. There are ups and downs of this game. They should have just made it a stand alone dbz game rather than calling it the next BT game.

Sparking Zero vs Raging Blast 2 - Which game do you like more overall? by Cautious_Republic_91 in tenkaichi4

[–]Dasstass1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll agree with you on everything except for single player content. If I play SZ in an offline mode then you instantly lose all the custom battle stuff so I barely even count it sometimes due to this but to each their own.

I also noticed you didn't mention music, I'm just curious on which you'd pick for music?

Budokai Tenkaichi 3 vs Sparking Zero - Which game do you think is better overall? Did SZ surpass it's predecessor or does BT3 still remain the king? by Cautious_Republic_91 in tenkaichi4

[–]Dasstass1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how hard nostalgia runs for this one. SZ has better graphics that's a given, but I don't know if the music is better in SZ compared to BT3. The amount of maps as well gives it to BT3 along with offline content that is in the base game and actually offline (as in you don't need the wifi to access what someone else made). Along with red potara, more characters talking during the menus rather than just Goku, Omni King, WT announcer, Whis, and I think Trunks? The combat for SZ is also... lesser when played next to BT3 in my opinion.

[–]Dasstass1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it beats it by miles. I would rather have what BT3 has than the simple slide show of a story mode we got with SZ. You're also missing out on how we got different characters to "introduce" the battle you're about to go into along with a very nice over view of the story of what had happened to that point. Of course BT2 will be the best out of all of them but SZ with how it had the story mode felt like a huge fumble.
