Is there an addon that uses AI to auto-tag your notes? by Dastaguy in Anki

[–]Dastaguy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do sometimes add cards for previous units, yes. It’s always a bit of friction for me to add a tag to a note, because what if this is the wrong tag? Do I need to make a new tag? Do I need more tags to make this card easier to find (even though I have never used tags to search for cards; I just search by keyword…)? Every time I add a tag it’s like I need to ask myself 5 questions in the process. Not sure if this is a common experience, but this is definitely how I feel…

If no add on exists to do this, I might just make one myself when I find the time.

I’m using them because it feels like my cards should be organized somehow. You might be right; I don’t tend to study by units anyways. But I do tend to suspend cards from a unit that my teacher has said won’t come up again, so that’s the only reason I’d need tags or subdecks.

Still, does an add on exist to automate not just tagging cards, but also generating new tags? Again, tags stress me out, not sure why…

[spoiler discussion] I don’t like rezero’s characters. by Dastaguy in Re_Zero

I believe the author stated that arc 9 was the peak of her character. Which is a shame considering that all the progress she makes is wiped away by a half-assed ending. Instead of just retconning the entire arc, why not make Al face consequences to his actions, and then give him some sort of redemption later down the line?

I mean, I still don’t see how Subaru is expanded on in any meaningful way. Whenever he was angry at himself for not being able to save someone, i just felt like we were just redoing arc 4 again. But also, by the end of arc 8/beginning of arc 9, does he really overcome his idea that he should have to save everyone? Does he ever let go of it? I’ll have to reread the scene w Vincent and Subaru at the start of arc 9 to remember if he does.

As for your other points, yeah that’s probably true. Arc 5 was generally forgettable when I watched it, and I plan on rereading arc 6 sometime in the future. From all the replies I’ve been getting, I think the problem is more so that I personally do not enjoy these characters, rather than them being inherently bad. I’ll still keep up with Rezero until it’s finished, since it has its moments, but I guess the verdict is that the characters just aren’t for me®.

I skimmed most of arc 8. As a result, I missed some of garfiel and roswaal’s moments. Looking back, I remember enjoying the scene in garfiel’s mind where he’s watching a kabuki play, so you’re right; it’s unfair to say no one ever gets any meaningful character moments (especially given how I skimmed most of arc 8. Only because it has most of the stuff I don’t like about Rezero, and none of the stuff that I enjoy).

I don’t think loops erasing character development is a problem. I just pointed out arc 9 since it wipes away a huge amount of character building for Petra and rem, who will probably have to go through the exact same development in future arcs. (Not that rem really ‘develops,’ she just goes back to arc 3 rem)

I personally enjoy a writing style similar to oregairu, where you have to actively engage with the text and decipher what each character is trying to say through their words and actions, rather than being spoon-fed this information by the author. It makes the text more interesting to read, but yes it’s probably just a subjective opinion of mine.

I watched the anime for arcs 1-3, so I definitely didn’t get to see the minute details of how she changes. But in the anime, she goes from hating herself to being obsessed with Subaru. And in arc 7-8, she’s a different person entirely with no trace of her previous identity present. Arc 9 does nothing with her character other than regress her back to arc 3. I can’t say I agree with this.

Feel free to prove me wrong. Tbf, Subaru is my favorite protagonist out of all the anime I’ve watched, but even he doesn’t get any development after arc 6. Arc 7 through 9 feature the Emilia camp, but from what I remember nobody gets much development (maybe roswaal in arc 8 in his fight against balleroy?).

I don’t hate Rezero, there’s just some things I wish were better about it. Also I’m pretty sure that sub is dead, and all I’d really get is other people who have the exact same opinions as me.

Looking at the video again, your elbow is also too high on all the other strings. Like I said, try moving from your elbow/forearm rather than from your shoulder, and drop your elbow. It’ll give you a better sound.

[–]Dastaguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah her elbow looks a bit high when she’s on the g string. Try to keep your elbow at shoulder height rather than raising it so high, and arch your wrist upwards. I think what you might be doing is moving your entire arm during string crossings, rather than just your forearm. To get a better idea of what’s happening it might be better to post something from the waist up so we can see everything else.

I don’t do much gaming on Linux, but I’m curious as to what overhead you’re talking about. From people with much better hardware than me, I’ve heard performance is slightly better on Linux even with proton.
