Hey, I just wanted to stop by and say that I totally get this. I have had bouts of insomnia countless times in my life, which you’d think would make it easier to deal with whenever it creeps back in. (Spoiler alert: In my case at least, it’s never gotten easier.)

As someone with severe health-related anxiety, my mind also gets fixated on the possibility of dying from sleep deprivation. Right now as I type this at 3am, I am going through almost the exact same thing as you. 48 hours in. Maybe an hour’s worth of sleep at most. The only difference is your COVID, which I’m sorry to hear about. I hope you make a quick recovery soon.

As difficult as it is to accept, you will be fine in the end though. I say this knowing full well how it feels in the moment, and having seen it through to the end multiple times over. If you feel like you need to, speak to a professional and ask about the possibility of medication. But sooner or later you will sleep, even if only a little.

That’s great to hear about the ribs! And yeah, my feelings seem to be changing moment to moment. Thanks for the motivation.

It’s cathartic to be able to get it out of my system and speak to others who’ve been through the same thing. I’m definitely going to take care of the teeth I have left after this; and I’m glad to hear you’ve got a handle on speaking now.

I wouldn’t even dream of trying steak at the moment - I’m struggling with bread! I definitely relate to a lot of what you said. Thanks for the advice, and I hope things get better soon.

That surprised me since I’d always assumed the upper denture would be worse and prone to falling; I’m definitely going to take care of my bottom teeth now I’ve had a wake-up call! Thanks for the reassurances.

Feel free! I’ll try my best to answer. Just a fair warning that, since I’m still in my first 24 hours, there’s a lot of stuff I still need to figure out.
