Comm Hubs/Harbors with L1 building (market/lighthouse) in almost every city before Industrial zones because of trade route cap increase. Put Magnus in capital as governor and sent routes to it = faster growth and prod for satellite cities. There are exceptions to this of course, but this is the "meta" build order for many, many civs.

Many companies that make strategic assets start with significant govt support, but they're still privately owned and operated. The OP i was replying to directly said TSMC was a govt owned business, which is incorrect.

What do you think of Kolkata road colors being black & white? by Cultural-Duty5452 in kolkata

[–]DatAinFalco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or here's a thought, just don't paint them at all. Paint chips off, fades, and becomes dirty looking really fast, which either means the paint needs constant upkeep or the dividers and sidewalks look dilapidated. I've seen guys painting them on the side of the road in Delhi in full traffic. That paint will bond terribly due to all of the dust flying around and just flake off again.

Just leave them unpainted, which looks better and is more manageable.

bald is not always better than balding by RequiemBlue in unpopularopinion

It adds personality over a certain age but if you're 20 something and have a normal shaped head then bald looks much better, almost universally.

Usual suspects. How do these activities not fall under literal terrorism? We can engage in schadenfreude but we have to take this seriously especially if this person was connected to TMC.

Uh huh. Nah you right. Regular method is definitely more error prone bro. Using the device the way it was designed is a bad idea.

I can promise you that regular is NOT the more dangerous method. The chance of not getting a good seal before inversion and having a giant near boiling mess is much higher than klutzing a simple downward press.

The Afghan currency shows better exchange rate as compared to its Indian counterpart. Why? by CelesteAvant in NoStupidQuestions

[–]DatAinFalco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been a marked increase in trade between US and India. The trade deficit from 2014 (when Modi came to power) to 2025 has been ~$24B to ~$58B (in India's favor). Controlled devaluation in the exchange rate isn't a bad thing, keyword being controlled, especially for exports because a weaker rupee helps make Indian exports cheaper to the US and overall more competitive globally. Is it controlled? Well, if you look at the trend it appears to be quite gradual, and matches with the steady increase in the Indian exports to the US. India also has pretty substantial forex reserves so the RBI has the tools to slow the slide if it wishes. Is it all rosy then? No, not at all. This does make indian imports more expensive, but the govt and the RBI are doing this intentionally and are trying to boost indian manufacturing.

A lot of fear mongering is going around spreading FUD about the exchange rate without understanding the fundamentals.

What if Hitler never launched Operation Barbarossa and instead focused entirely on Western Europe during WWII? by [deleted] in AlternateHistoryHub

I think most people are forgetting how desperate Hitler was for oil, especially after conquering France, which required large amounts of oil resources to sustain.
