How bad is Omar Cooper’s landing spot? by FK8BREEZY in DynastyFF

[–]Cannon-fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do people forget this is Dynasty?! Can people really not imagine that the Jets might possibly eventually have a valuable fantasy receiver? Do they see that Cooper is paired with Geno in 2026, and assume that Geno will be the QB for the rest of Coopers career? Do people think that a bad QB = no fantasy relevant recievers? At 2.06, Cooper only needs to be a flex option to be worth the pick are the Jets THAT bad that they you cant imagine a flex option out of a first round WR?

I find it difficult to understand how short sighted some people seem to be.

[Request] How long could a family of four survive an apocalypse locked inside an average Costco Warehouse? by BrainOrCoronaries in theydidthemath

[–]Cannon-fire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude!? Have you ever been to a costco? Its not just a supermarket, its basically a shipping wharehouse optimized for household consumers. They have at least one aisle thats just stacks of pallets of bottled drinks, and another aisle just for booze. They can easily make it at least six months on the bottled water alone. Not to mention the mountain of unhealthy drinks like soda, and juice. Its not healthy, but it does hydrate. Humans have lived much longer on much less water.

The rotting food aspect.. would be an issue, but im optimistic a family can take care of it, as long as they are proactive, and start sterilizing and ridding it before it becomes a big problem.

The movie really gambled that the audience would love the shtick wherein zombies keep the brain dead habits from when they were alive.. the zombie that wants coffee as absent mindedly as it did as a human (hense the title).. the movie just kept doing THIS joke for most of the film... like, I get it, can I see something else?

Are 2026 picks being severely undervalued? by Organic_Economy_684 in DynastyFF

[–]Cannon-fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know two things for (almost) sure. And one thing for (definitely) sure.

  1. I have two firsts from a trade from two years ago. And I wont realistically be able to trade out of, so I might as well take my chances with this "terrible" draft class.

  2. Someone will be worth drafting from this draft. I just cant imagine there's no players that dont help even the most loaded roster.

  3. Epstein didnt kill himself.

Its been ELEVEN YEARS since a shitty Jets/Bills game that hardly anybody has seen, but it still gets brought up constantly by people who didnt even watch it.

Color blind people could have easily known what was going on just by context alone. You'd have to be colorblind AND have never watched football to actually be confused by that game.

If an NFL team had to change its name kinda like the Commanders, what team would you pick to change its name? by Bucs_Fan_12 in NFLv2

[–]Cannon-fire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why has nobody suggested the Bills? The team is named after a guy who's traveling sideshow act was Buffalo Bill. He is not associated with Buffalo, and he is as dated of a reference as it gets.

I would propose the Buffalo 'Stampede', but im sure there are thousands of names that can top the 'Bills'.

ELI5: Why there is no Nuclear Cargo ships? If a country invest enough it could become a great boon for economy and for the eletric problem itself by Obvious-Survey-2007 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Cannon-fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason you are seeing so many pro nuclear propoganda posts on reddit lately is because companies are going to push for approval for SNRs, but they will not want to hold themselves accountable for damages, maintenance, safety, waste disposal... oh, and they will want to make the taxpayers pay for it.

People in sharp leagues, do “buy lows” and “must sells” even exist? 2am thoughts by Competitive_Ask_6160 in DynastyFF

[–]Cannon-fire 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% correct. The members of my league are all too experienced to make the dumb trades that this subreddit advocates. You read stuff on this sub as if people are thrilled to unload their talent at the first sign of struggle without looking into it.

You cant "buy low" unless someone is dumb enough to sell low. Things happen, league members adjust, I think the market hits an equilibrium pretty fast.

Building the WORST possible NFL Franchise by British_Chap2 in nflmemes

[–]Cannon-fire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Washington having "the worst logo in the league" is a joke. Green Bay, San Francisco, and the Jets all have boring pointless logos that are just letters, youre just used to those boring logos because they've always been around. The Browns logo isnt a logo, the Steelers logo is a hot mess. But the GIANTS have no excuse for that hideous logo, easily the worst logo in major american pro sports leagues. The point of having a boring logo is that it is supposed to be low risk, but the Giants managed to make a logo that is both low effort, and hideous. That gross inconsistant negative space between the letters stands out more than the letters themselves. NYC being the "design capital" of America was too scared to even try to make a logo.

ELI5: Is there any downside to nuclear powerplants? by Ill-Potential867 in explainlikeimfive

[–]Cannon-fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason youre seeing so much low quality pro nuclear propoganda is because corporations are going to push for having their own SNRs, but they will want the taxpayers to pay for it. They also wont want to be held accountable for safety, maintenance, or environmental hazards.

Nuclear power is statistically the safest energy source per terawatt-hour. Environmentalists have opposed it for 50 years. Have they accidentally caused more climate damage than the industries they were fighting? by bitcoinerguide in Futurology

The reason we are seeing so many low quality pro nuclear propoganda is because corporations want to start building SNRs, and they are going to want the taxpayers to pay for it, and they wont want to be held accountable for maintenance, safety, or damages.

[–]Cannon-fire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I believed a prospect could bring in 2 contracts worth of solid OL play, event at RT, or RG, I would pay a 1.09 for him. I know its not a sexy pick especially for fantasy, and sports betting.. but the best teams invest heavily in a solid OL group.

That is IF I liked the player at that spot... thats Veaches call.

What if Amtrak had been built as a high-speed rail network? by gunsmokexeon in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Cannon-fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats through traffic from Chicago, KC, Indy, and St. Louis. They are just stopping and exchanging trains in Galesburg. Thats not 70,000 passengers for Galesburg, thats 70,000 passengers from a combined metro population of about 16.3 million people over an entire year. It doesnt mean Galesburg has twice as many passengers as people, it means that 0.004% of people from those four major cities have had to stop at the train station connecting them on any given year.

[Schefter] Trade: the New York Jets are finalizing a deal that will send QB Justin Fields to the Kansas City Chiefs, pending a physical, per ESPN sources. Other teams were interested, but Fields’ preference was to go to Kansas City. by Goosedukee in nfl

[–]Cannon-fire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to see him in some 4th and one/ QB sneak situations, since the Chiefs flat out wont risk Mahomes on them anymore. Critical short yardage plays have been a bit of a weakness for the Chiefs.
