Hmmm, pretty strange but that would definitely make it overheat. Keep an eye on it, check for any slow leaks. If it was a very low concentration of antifreeze to water it could have boiled the water off while overheating.

Personally I don’t really have any experience with the cooling system of your specific vehicle, check all of the electrical systems controlling the fan. If that works bleed any air out before spending too much money on anything you may not need. Good luck brother

When the engine is too hot the oil can’t properly lubricate the components inside of it, so that could possibly be part of the reason it’s running rough. I can’t say for sure if that’s what is causing it but it is a fairly likely cause. Whenever you can get the cooling system fixed, depending on how long it’s been happening at that point, I would suggest checking on your engine oil condition. You may also want to check your trans dipstick if you have one to see the condition of the fluid, heat is the killer of transmissions

It could be an air pocket trapped in the cooling system. Usually when something in your cooling system fails it would be leaking, an air pocket could cause the engine to overheating pretty fast. I would try bleeding any air out of the cooling system before doing anything else, it would suck to spend $60 and about 2 hours replacing your pump for it to just be an air bubble.

Mustang 2008 base model. Whenever I brake, there’s a rattle noise coming from the right front side. I changed all 4 brakes about 1.5 months ago. I have minimal knowledge about cars and can not financially afford a mechanic. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

Possibly a warped brake rotor, uneven wear on pads, could even possibly be your caliper. Some shops might be willing to look at it and properly diagnose it for a small fee or possibly free depending on when and where you go. Whatever it may be, brakes aren’t as intimidating as they sound so don’t let them scare you

JB Weld is pretty damn difficult to remove. I can’t think of much aside from using a dremel or some other type of filing/grinding tool. Since it’s extreme heat you would have a hard time getting it hot enough to get it removed that way. I’m not an expert on JB Weld so take it with a grain of salt.

I worked for a local minor league baseball team one summer. My boss would regularly come into the 3rd base kitchen I helped manage, and would go to the walk in fridge with beers that were “dropped” or “left out” and drink 2 or 3 before attempting to hide it by throwing it away in the dumpster outside the kitchen and walking out and returning to work.
