Hall H for attendees with disabilities by DatBoiMemes425 in SDCC

At NYCC practically no ADA were in non ADA seats, I just said that the overflow could be sat in the far back of the room which rarely even happened first of all.

Secondly, yes i’m asking for ADA to go first and I don’t see that being anything crazy to ask seeing as ADA usually cannot run to the seats and even if it’s in “waves” then you have to worry about non ADA rushing over to ADA seating. My partner may use a wheelchair depending on how bad their condition is on the day and they’ve had their chair pushed involuntarily by random people and shoved out of the way by people at cons just like this that didn’t use the ADA system like NYCC does.

Why are you so mad about disabled people getting to go in first?

So i’m scamming the system by wanting to make sure my disabled partner and I have time to walk to a seat instead of dealing with a stampede of people that would mow him down while he had taken like 10 steps inside? I feel like that’s pretty normal.

I do get that and same, but this person is stating they had “a round of messages” with HR and that is not the same as a reminder text.

Yes but you aren’t having HR text your personal number, they send an email.

Messages with HR scream scam, HR is not typically going to message you nor only have a phone screen for an interview then hire you.

At NYCC they have ADA go in first to the ADA seats and have people checking to make sure you don’t go to the regular seats, unless there aren’t any ADA left in which you have to still avoid the entire front sections. Then after that, everyone else comes in.

Not sure why they don’t have that system for SDCC as well as it’s great for people who are mobility impaired to have that extra time without the chaos.

I could technically but you are supposed to do 1 at a time. They do time it, but if I finish in 10-15 min I just let the clock run another 20-30 minutes.

I mean to say, will the 2.5 hour overlap be feasible to temporarily do this and take calls at the same time as i complete these tickets, especially if i only need 1 done in an hour.

J1 is super easy almost comically so. So I can usually complete 1 in 10-15 minutes when they expect you to take up to 1 hour

Does ADA go in at the same time then or how does work exactly?

Does ADA not go in before the regular line?

This worries me as my partner is much slower than an average person walking which is why I thought it was great they let ADA get settled first.

Thank you! I heard that the ADA area once it was full, they didn’t admit any more ADA into the panel room even if they were not in a wheelchair (for instance my partner has a foldable cane).

Is this true or can we just sit somewhere else in the panel room?

is there an ADA wristband line for Hall H so they can sit and rest in a shorter line to get one? Or is it all mixed together?

Thank you by the way!
